i WAS going to add a Silverstone RGB80 ,LED mechanical Keyboard with Kaith or Kail, or whatever Blue mechanical switches, but I was VERY unhappy with the functionality of the unit I was sent(software-wise), I saw quite a few negative posts with a very small amount of googling, but also saw quite a few good ones Here on TPU...but @ the end of the day MY rule of thumb is "If I wouldn't keep it , I wont offer it in a Giveaway".

My younger brother needs something better than his current basic MS mouse he's been using for the past 4+ years. He's too dang cheap to buy something decent himself. Took me 2 years of pestering to finally get him to get new hardware in his computer. I'm now working on him buying his own GPU and giving me my GTX 570 back....so it may take another year or two before this happens.

just got a "Windows Technical Department" call
kept him on the line for 32 minutes, but finally , he tried to get me to install some remote desktop BS.
Ill link the site they are using now, as it seems they have moved away from Team Viewer...

well to be honest...i played TOTALLY dumb for the first 15 or so, like i had him tell me how to find the "four flag key"..(windows Key) etc.. but @ the end, he played like He KNEW i wasnt PC illiterate. I told him. "anyway man, im not gonna Download that Remote software, I know this is a scam, and I am fairly fluent in PC's" he responds..."I knew that, i was just playing along with You" . Yea right.
i told him what i do for a living , and he hung up.
PS, i also posted on that Software owners Facebook that Scammers are using theyre program, HOPEFULLY they will react accordingly.

used to have 2 phone lines here
my dads phone line ( purely a landline no internet )
and my broadband
Had one of these scammers phone my dad ( i answered and dealt with it )
scammer went through the usual spiel
We are microsoft support dept
your pc is infected your sending spam from your pc and infecting other pc's
So go into spaz owner mode
How is this possible i have anti virus ect
he gives instructions on proving what he says is true
after about 30 min of chat ( i get his name we will call him vikram)
i eventualy call him out saying i want proof like what is my IP address
he tries to fob me off with 192.168.0.xxx
and despite telling him thats not my isp provided ip address i get pissed off at this point and say how can i have an infected windows system i us linux
He hangs up.
10 min later on MY phone line is vikram with same Spiel
I just say
Hello Vikram this is Dorset Police Cyber crimes unit
Detective Inspector %%%$ speaking
we have been waiting for your Call your number has been logged and is now being Traced
He Spluttered how do you know my name then hung up............ i did piss myself laughing after he hung up
