Just wondering if anyones come across any good desktop computer mounts on the market. I found this company called Computer Bracket Solutions that sells some pretty basic stuff on Amazon, but I was just wondering if anyone else has tried their own thing...

Let me know, thanks.

Who and what are we mounting to?

Sorry, No I'm talking about just mounting the CPU.

I assume you mean the computer/chassis. Any particular reason to mount it? I usually just set mine next to my desk on a clean spot on the floor.

Yea I'm trying to clean up my desk space to give myself more room.

I see. Sadly I have no knowledge of options for this but I'm sure someone who does will be along soon, thanks for clarifying.

"Computer Mounts Anyone?"

I thought your computer was on heat and just humping anything that moved....

where is your PC situated? surely under a desk like 99% of people should be fine, tuck it away behind, at the side etc? are you talking about mounting it to a wall? perhaps look at a shelf....

Also cable ties and some smart routing of cables (monitor, keyboard, mouse ethernet etc) can help to keep clutter to a minimum

Is that why laptops are always heating up?

Vacuum cleaner case and if you have a pet or a rug ugh!

Wait, laptops have heat cycles? Is it... ok if I'm a guy and I use one in my lap? It won't get pregnant right?

(I apologize in advance for that horrid joke)

you need a case with VESA mounts. Haven't really seen any after market ones for existing towers. Of course a shelf may be simpler. Or you could go somewhat in the middle of shelf and VESA mount
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816323001

Still though that seems less useful and more limited than a wooden shelf.

Not only simpler, but more practical. I can't imagine anyone would want to deal with removing the VESA mount screws every time they want to clean their case, or maintain parts, which is why you don't see cases with VESA mounts.

I have reported a couple of these links... they are affiliate links... someone getting paid each time it is used.
They pay a commission for every little click.
And, anrdoezrs.net is one of these.

You have to be careful when copying links at places, like FatWallet, etc., as they use these to track cash back programs, too.

Get a smaller computer.
NUC's generally mount behind the monitor, and can be almost as powerful (minus graphics) as a desktop.
ITX cases can fit a graphics card and powerful systems.

You mean straps?
