PowerColor Working on a Custom Radeon Pro Duo?

PowerColor teased this image of its next "DEVIL" series graphics card, as part of its latest giveaway. The teaser states "a new devil is born," sparking off speculation that this could be a custom-design dual-GPU graphics card based on the "Fiji" silicon. It's unlikely that this is a product based on the upcoming RX 480 because the company reserves the "DEVIL" sub-brand for only its fastest solutions. Calling this card the Radeon Pro Duo Devil13 could dent the "gamer-professional" marketing of the Pro Duo, so if this is indeed a dual-"Fiji" graphics card, PowerColor could avoid using the Pro Duo SKU name.

I dont think its a dual fiji board. THey could create a wonderful dual polaris board, the think is it might be too early for such a board, unless they were planning it for months allready.
Ill wait an see what it is. I sue hope its a polaris board, cause if thats the case, im going to get 2 of them.

this actually makes sence - 480 board (not reff card - but board) is so damn short (baerly longer than R9 Nano) and AMD pushed PR with something like: "our dual smokes the other team top one for fraction of cost"... I would be interested - cuz :
1) compact - even dual bord could be shorter than longest single cards;
2) low power (one takes 1x 6pin)
3) cheap (relative to cometitior)

question remains - how efficient is rx 480 - if it is not, then cooler will have to run to fast (for my ears) and double it up is not good idea then.

I suppose I deserve that. Still, the point stands. Historically, Power Color dual-GPU cards are named "DEVIL 13" whereas "DEVIL" is just s premium, fully custom, overclocked variant of a given single GPU card. They've done them with the 7870 and the 270x, however they did not have a 380X or 280X version .

I concur. PowerColor only makes "Devil 13" versions of cards that don't exist. Dual Fiji already exists as Radeon Pro Duo. AMD not announcing a dual RX 480 is a "duh" moment and that's exactly what PowerColor would capitalize on just like they did with the dual R9 290X before AMD launched the R9 295x2.

If it is a dual RX 480, it would be the perfect card for a budget VR system (assuming they don't go bonkers with the price, anyway).

Edit: They also have dual 390 and 390X cards too where no one else does...because it's unofficial.

The 390x Devil is a single card, hence it's only the dual 390 that has the Devil 13 moniker.

Anyway, I really really love Powercolor, for this reason.

Very late , it happened and a lot is lost in the time. Now that we have been waiting for. dual GPU cards could be issued as soon as the main GPU unit is in the offer. Simply not sold ! The 28 micron if there is 16 microns with greater preformance. 1000 W against 270 W max is a big difference . Stock yes it is the cause here .

Good catch. Apparently it is "Devil 13" that is dual GPU where just "Devil" isn't. I wonder why that one got labeled "Devil" at all; it doesn't appear extraordinary other than having a mixed water/air cooling solution (40 MHz faster on core, 25 MHz faster on memory).

Just no for me. Call me provincial or whatever, but I wouldn't buy a card with "devil" on it. Let alone they keep digging into this "marketing" and now we have burning hands and all kind of symbols. Simply no.

Exactly right, this is an insult to the devil, associating his name with the star of david. Lucifer was the angel of light and brought mankind knowledge, those that follow the star of david are the true anti-christ, after all they had "The Christ" crucified and you see all the trouble they have started since the diaspora.
