This might be better if they offered angled swivel fittings on the pump block, instead of hoses sticking directly out, also the fans can be changed to increase cooling performance and add LED bling if wanted.

Am I the only one who is mind blown by the fact that the Noctua air cooler is doing better than the majority of water coolers and as good or at least not less than the best water coolers. If that is the case what's the point of those cheap fucking AIO water coolers?

You're not the only one.
Noctua's and Thermalright's dual towers are cheaper, as effective, much more silent and reliable than any AIO out there.
Personally I find them more attractive as well, with a soft spot for the Silver Arrow

The pump is technically quiet, theres no sloshing or grindings. Its a tonal hum, just like all fans don't sound alike. I also test on an open test bench. Once you toss this into a case its not likely to be noticeable. @ everyone else. keep in mind this is also SKylake not a 6950x or other ultra high end CPU. So results are kinda skewed since the TDP is fairly low. That said yes big giant air coolers still work well. Also keep in mind many of them block the first expansion slot, or hang over memory slots, weigh a ton, don't fit as many cases due to height etc etc. I think the biggest draw from the Eisbaer is the fact you can put it together with the GPX-pro gpu AIOs Alphacool has and within a few minutes have a CPU-GPU loop. Different strokes different folks.

Thermalright sells offset versions of their biggest coolers that clear all slots.
I wish you'd test the Silver Arrow and Archon models.

Some do some dont @Joss that said many cases today have a hard time fitting ultra large heatsinks. For awhile cases got wider but as AIOs have become popular that trend seems to have reversed a bit. That said if i get a chance ill review some more Thermalright stuff.

Not just that, but when the cooling performance is on par with an air-cooler I lose interest right away. Whats the point?

Yes the only thing I guess I would like to have as a water cooling solution would be EKWB. I would definitely pay premium for premium results. If this Eisbaer 240 is so loud, as noted as a con, what would be really be the point of putting that little loud machine in your case when you can have a quiet equally performing air cooling solution?

Again its not LOUD its a tonal hum. NOISE does not always = LOUD. The hum itself is annoying to me it may not be to some. Just as people like different fans due to the "noise profile" Running the pump at 7v removes the hum. I also test on an open test bench not inside a case. That said i report MY finding in total.

Example below listen to the fans motor hum thats what I am talking about. The Alphacool pump noise wise is fine it is quieter than other AIOs. The default fans are louder. But at low RPM the pump tonal hum on an open test bench was not to my liking. Start at 5:50

30cm or 1 Ft = 46 dBA on an open test bench. Thats very acceptable. but again tonal hum is different from pure noise and on an open test bench I can hear the tone

Well anyway if we compare that aio to its only real competitor customization wise - EKWB Predator - we get a really impressive piece of cooling. Especially when we consider that it costs almost half as much as Predator.

I don't see why not? If the temperatures won't be enough for you, you can always get another radiator, they are actually not really expensive. I recommend Magicool G2 Slim radiators - absolutely monstrous value, i'm using them myself.

I was thinking about buying the Eisbaer solo https://modmymods.com/alphacool-eisbaer-solo-2600rpm-black-12511.html (pump, cpu block and res) to replace a Corsair aio unit I have in my sons pc and then to add my 980Ti that already has an EK waterblock on, as I have a 1080 to play with. I have plenty of additional rads here that I can use. I just was not sure if the pump would be up to the job of pushing water through a 360 rad, 980ti block and integrated cpu block.
