NVIDIA today shipped out the GeForce 368.81 WHQL drivers, which are optimized for a suite of VR-Ready games. To begin with, the drivers come with optimization for NVIDIA's VR Funhouse (a tech demonstrator that takes advantage of Simultaneous Multi-Projection); "Everest VR," "Raw Data," a hotly anticipated AAA VR title that made waves at E3, "Obduction," and "The Assembly."

It's not quite clear, but are these VR-only drivers? A search of NVIDIA's drivers to download on GeForce.com brings up 368.69 as the latest driver.

Interesting, since I followed the link given by bta, you'd think I wouldn't have to run around looking for alternate download locations like you apparently did.

I never go to GeForce.com when I need to download drivers, instead I go to nvidia.com (or nvidia.co.uk) because usually their content are updated faster than geforce.com.

Driver main page : http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk
368.81 : http://www.nvidia.co.uk/download/driverResults.aspx/105139/en-uk

Good to know! After all these years, I can still feel like a noob.

However, my point still stands. Following the given link in the article does not give the option for the new driver.

A bit of rtfm:
Windows 10 Fixed Issues
  • GPU Boost not applied to VR games. [1778552]
  • Vive does not work with mini-DisplayPort on the Link Box. [200217901]
  • [ArcheAge] The GameGuard module crashes in nvinit.dll when CreateProcess() is called with parameters greater than 260 bytes. [200210594]
  • GeForce GTX 970M] NVIDIA reference driver support requested for Gigabyte P55Wv5. [1783058]
  • [GP104] Corruption seen when booting on DVI at or above a 330 MHz pixel clock and an 80 Hz refresh rate. [1782521]
  • [365.10] Tearing occurs in windowed applications after an update to Release 364.xx drivers. [1763731]
So if I read it correctly vives dp port and that dvi thingy should be fixed now.

I don't understand why is their stupid driver selector defaulting to Windows 7 32bit. It's so stupid. Windows 10 64bit should be default not this nonsense.

Nvidia wont be able to make a walled garden in the VR age. See how Oculus Rift is doing now. Nobody gives a wet f*uck about exclusive. In terms of VR we only care about experience. OpenVR is the only way.

@rtwjunkie This driver may be the fix for VR issue regarding HTC Vive, HDMI/DP port and the card's clock users have been reporting on the forum. I am not interested in VR but nevertheless I downloaded the driver. So far so good with Photoshop and OpenCL and games I am playing like Witcher 3 and Fallout 4.

Forgot to mention. As for NVIDIA vs GeForce site, I personally prefer NVIDIA. Unlike GeForce.com, nvidia.co.jp provides localized news regarding... well, almost everything NVIDIA. Promotions included. Also sometimes I failed to see the newest driver show up in GeForce's driver section, despite the staff posted on the forum that a new driver has been released just recently. NVIDIA.co.jp does not have that issue and always show the newest driver available to download whenever it is ready.

You're the man BT.. Much appreciate all the effort you put in around here. You always leave out the opinionated nonsense and post facts and helpful or informative details.. Thank for the update.

Hate to break it to you but VR is a fad.. It looks bad and runs worse..
They are giving that shit away on steam..lol. They are bundling it with games because sales are THAT bad.. No one wants to wear headgear for hours on end when they play games.. Well, like half a % of people do.. VR means nothing to 99% of the gaming community.

Windows 10 with Firefox 64bit. One would expect webpage to read that info from a browser and auto select appropriate versions...

You have a 64-bit firefox? When did they go 64-bit?

I had to check my blog because I remember I've posted news about it:
https://rejzor.wordpress.com/2015/11/02/firefox-42-is-coming-this-time-also-in-64bit/

It was Firefox 42 that was first officially 64bit. But you had to (still have to) manually select it from the downloads list, I think they still offer 32bit by default and 64bit only as an option for those who want it. I see no reason not to want it lol :) It'll then auto update as usual even if you have 64bit one.

Indeed, and as the link shows Tech Report tested themselves and confirmed it was fixed.
