I don't think they have patched this game out to a stable DX12 yet. Could be wrong. My card is pretty dated now. With that being said DX11 runs great. I would stay with that until a few more patches.
 
Running DX11 myself, DX12 looked like it resulted in slightly lower framerates and a skip was felt once so I switched back.

Played some Hardcore last night, felt great as I used my Gewehr M.95 which was fantastic. Really love the game mode, my only real complaint is there is no quick mode (Least that I found) for hardcore so your forced to manually search for it. Wish quick match had a hardcore version.

It does doesn't it? When you click the multiplayer tab, at the next screen you have several tabs, quick match, server browser, and extras...{can't remember what it's called.} but once you go to the next screen you can click on the hardcore option you want and it finds a match for you. Am I mistaken? I'm not on my gaming PC to double check.


Oh I discovered something the other night. I came up on a guy and we both tried to knife each other, we both I assume kept pressing the knife button and it was like a duel. the animation kicked in and it looked like we were knife dueling, then I got lucky and won. Is that a thing? It seemed like an animation but I could be mistaken. Either way it was awesome looking.
 
Yes, there are quick HC connects to DICE HC servers. The quickmatch on this tends to send you to the most brurtal HC where you cannot spot your own team mates without having them in your line of sight. This results in much TK hilarity. Well, it's funny until it becomes annoying. TBH, I'd play thismode more if it wasn't full of toss pots who don't seem to understand what TK is. You need to pause before shooting anyone pretty much but too many peeps also don't know what pausing is. Run and gun this mode is not.
 
Well I discovered the reason BF1 kept crashing on me. It was my OC. Been running 4.6GHz since the day i installed it. Completely stable in every game 100% of the time with good temps...until BF1. Something about this game doesn't like my OC. Running stock speeds at the moment for testing purposes but out of 10+ matches not a single crash. bugger me.

I found BF4 and BF1 are not tolerant of some overclocks. My CPU at 4.4 is fine in 99% of situations but had to drop to 4.2 for BF4 & BF1. Same with my gfx card - Never crashed in any game at 1500Mhz, except BF... Run at stock for now which to be fair is 1430Mhz so no biggie - those extra 5 fps are not a big deal...

Strange. Apart from a faulty psu and new graphics card which im still in the process of overclocking on my end
Bf1 runs pretty just fine on my OC's
 
Medics don't heal/revive for shit. I have been playing as a medic and was doing it, but rarely do other people seem to. I've switched over to the Scout class (temporarily?) -- bought the Frammer Stopper and the Russian gun and it is a pretty decent combo. I wish the Russian gun could zoom out some or I could remove the scope. I have the sweeper for the medic which is a great gun imo.

If you go to the guns settings you have a choice of zoom options.
Bf1 hates my overclocks as well.

People stopped playing medic because it's the hardest class to score points in for the average joe. You should get far more points for revives, given you are so vulnerable when you go to someones aid. You hear me DICE you cocks? Medics are saints and risk life and points to revive people on caps. If medics hang back, less points, if medics move up - very vulnerable. No matter what @Black Haru is about to say... medics (and I may have just been ninja'd) have been hobbled.

Edit: Was expecting you to say medic class was great!
 
I have been playing medic most of this week. Was able to finally buy a new gun and chose the M1907 SL Sweeper. So far it has been a nice upgrade.

I revive & heal -- Medic school of BF3/BF4 Metro 2011-13.

I recently unlocked the Selbstlader -- I still prefer the M1907 Sweeper. the automatic fire comes in very very handy.
 
getting better at aiming :) i play support and drop ammo boxes like a mofo :P just unlocked the m1909 Benet-Mercie telescopic. what is the best gun for support class if I may ask?

Matter of opinion though most say the BAR 1918 is the best. I prefer the Madsen because of the bigger magazine size though.

Almost done lvl 10ing medic (last class to do so). I personally revive and throw medic pouches quite often. Unfortunately for the class it's pretty clear the best gun in that class is the Sel m1916. M1907 sweeper and Sei-Rigotti is good when your on CQB maps but the m1916 feels too strong over all. Wanting the level 10 gun just to try it.

Yes it is. Its an option for every gun in the game, you even get options for iron sights.
Btw, I set my zoom to 1.00 on all pistols and cqb weapons, it offers a significant advantage when tracking targets at very close range.

I would definitely agree that medic is the hardest and most frustrating class to play right now, but it's not because of their weapons.
1. The skip revive mechanic has to go.
2. Should be 1 point per health revived
3. there needs to be a chargeup time on the syringe, medic chains are a pretty big problem right now especially in rush and operations.

I'm also getting real tired of people spawning on dead bodies. It's infuriating to wipe a squad only to have the first on you killed spawn on the dead body of the last one you killed, this happens constantly.
Spawn locations are very bad on most maps.
Phenom, get the damn game.
 
What happened with Requesting an order and receiving squad lead if the squad lead didnt issue an order. That was one of the greatest things they added to BF4. So many squad leads do not do their job.
