Exactly. The title shouldn't be: AMD Radeon GPUs Limit HDR Color Depth to 8bpc Over HDMI 2.0To be fair they are correct. This thread shouldn't exist because it makes TPU look either nvidia biased or just flat out wrong. Neither of those options is good in my book.
It should be: HDMI 2.0 has insufficient bandwidth to drive HDR with more than 8bpc
It's a misleading title that makes it sound like AMD gimped their GPUs when HDMI 2.0 just sucks compared to DP.
This feels a lot like 8GB of VRAM being a con in reviews until nVidia did it with an equivalent GPU. I love TPU but, this kind of bullshit is growing concerning.
Or maybe @btarunr should be scolded for making an article that so damn misleading. Pointing a finger at AMD when it should be pointed at HDMI and the HDMI Forum. I expect better out of TPU and crap like this is WCCFTech worthy.Or closing of this thread...
