Did you try repairing the game?

I had a problem when the game went from the Origin Access to the Early Enlister. It refused to launch because it said my time was up. Once I repaired it, I had no problems.

I couldnt repair it cause it did not show up in my games list. When I went to the battlefield 1 page it wanted me to buy it.

*UPDATE*

I got on live chat again today asking them once again what the deal was and this time they were much more helpful. I was told that it shows I own the game from an account standpoint but it was missing from my list of games. They narrowed it down to a glitch between the two. The guy added it back to my game library and I was able to launch it and play online. Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else cause their support can be dodgy.
 
Massive patch incoming tomorrow!
Loads of changes, I'll try to sum up the notable stuff.

A10 nerf, specifically all buckshot has been nerfed at range, the other shotguns recieved minor buffs to bring them in line.

LMGs recieved several changes, should now behave more consistent between variants. Several guns had max damage increased from 21 to 23, damage droppoff has been extended for all, first and second round accuracy has been increased.

Landship has been overhauled, it now has the same armor as the heavy tank, it is now a spawn point like the heavy tank, mortar variant now has 5 seats, squad support variant now has 20mm cannon as primary.

Emergency repairs on heavy tank and landships has been nerfed from 30 to 20 and from 30 to 25 respectively

New lineofsight rules in place for vehicles, you can no longer use 3rd person view to headglitch in the tank.

Bombers now take 30% more damage from bullets
Tail gunner damage reduced
Fighter mg damage increased
Stationary AA range decreased

Balance changes to several maps, not many details listed

Hardcore damage decreased from 200 to 125, teamkills now show in kill log

Ammo and health crates should behave better

Syringe now has a cool down, should reduce medic trains

Lots and lots more that I have already forgotten.
 
Well I got an early Christmas Present from DICE after reading the patch notes.

NERFED the Model 10-A
Re-worked all the shotguns to make some of the others have an actual purpose.
BUFFED the accuracy both hip and aimed on the M1903 Experimental
LMG's have better accuracy

There is so much more but these were the things I was so happy to see right off the bat.
 
Sounds lame. Tail gunner damage decreased? It was damn near useless to begin with. A-10 nerfed? Lame.
 
Hopefully they fix the broken SLI support that happened in the last major update. Cooldown on the syringe is stupid, people are bad enough for not reviving as it is, hopefully it's only a couple seconds.

Im not sure you've used the tail gun since beta, it destroys other aircraft. It's so good that as a pilot you can switch seats and destroy a pursuit plane and switch back. The tail gun currently out damages the main gun by about 30%.
The a10 needed the nerf. It was silly. Trust me it will still be worth using, but I got tired of feeling like I was playing handicapped by picking one of the other shotguns.

The syringe cooldown won't affect single revives, it's more like you get a set number of revives, then it has to recharge. Ammo crates resuply it instantly.

Yea, the tail gunner nerf was needed as it made the basic anti-air plane worthless as the tail gunners in the other planes just took em out before they could do anything.

The 10-A was the best thing in my book, mad the Automatico will be around at least another month or two but I was getting tired of so many 10-A people with 3+ stars.
 
I think the map changes only apply to Operations, and it might actually be a little closer to balanced now. My thoughts (sorry if I'm pessimistic).

1) Now everyone will fly fighters because tail gunner won't be able to take down enemy planes because DICE can never nerf/buff 2 things without screwing it up. (They decreased "close" damage by 42% while "bullets" do 20% more damage to bombers. does that mean MG bullets from planes or just ground gun fire?)
2) Emergency repair nerfs are not going to fix the problem of there being emergency repairs.
3) Landship has now become op and light tank is the new Landship. More than likely they did the "buff" so more people would use the Landship, but that was never the problem of why no one uses it.
4) Reducing the AA range from 400m to 334m is not going to fix the problem. They need to lower them to 200m but I've got a feeling that it would limit max height which would allow orbit bombing.
5) LMGs have just become screwed up if I understand this correctly. i.e. Bar Trench is now the preferred setup. It's far superior in hip fire (what's intended) but now it should be just as accurate as the telescopic version when ads. (Maybe I missed something?)
6) The problem with the shotguns has to do with damage and range. Even with the accuracy buff to the other shotguns, the a10 and "range decrease" (I assume damage drop off starts soon) will not fix the problem that the a10 and m97 sweeper have twice the pellets as the other shotguns. All shotguns have zero spread when ADS and standing, so what advantage does reducing max range get? Nothing because you still get 80% damage compared to 50% damage. In other words, the a10 still has the clear advantage kill faster since even with the tighter spread on the other guns, you still have twice the pellets on those 3 and because of that, have a higher chance of hitting the target. I know you have spread as the pellets fly away from the gun and not all pellets will hit. Though in the cone, you have a 21v12 (for the a10 v 12g), without increasing the 12g to the higher count of the a10, it's worthless.
7) Fixing the bug of not being able to sprint out a crouch? Who comes up with these ideas!? That was literally the only thing that kept people from crouch (slide) running when being shot at. Welcome to the new dolphin diving.

Still no mention about fixing DX12 and the stupid problem for getting blinded by reflections or blue/green filter spam if you don't have TAA for your AA setting. As for balance, I don't think DICE could balance plate on a flat surface. All the changes made to the Landship make no sense unless they wanted to get people to play it more and made it op on purpose. You thought the Heavy tank was bad before? Get ready for the new op tank, the Landship. Instead of just 1 cannon, it has 2! And it has the same armor as the Heavy tank. Gee, I wonder how that fight will go?

I hope I'm wrong about some of these things (which I'm sure I will be on some). Though I'm pretty sure the Landship will now be abused and that's going to be the only thing that gets spawn any more. The quick repairs at a break between the heavy and Landship so even if the Landship can't move, you're still out gunned against a Landship. Even worse if it's the support one that now has the 20mm on the front gun.

The new spectator mode is nice! It will be handy for a 6th squad-mate. I tried it out and took a few screenshots:

meh was gonna play tonight but since i don't have premium can't take part in the new map. Guess ill check out BF1 again a week from now.
 
The new map is a nice open field map with a slight decline. Why it is all about 2 flags inside a downed Zep is a mistery for my, it has no strategical value. To concentrate the fight here is just a bit too hollywoodesque or deathmatch Arena style! I would have put let's say a long range battery at the hilltop with sights over a far away city under siege, for example....
 
Spent quite awhile playing and this is my opinion on the updates:

Model 10-A does feel weaker, but still usable and still even a bit to strong. I have definitely seen a decline in its use, though unfortunately the Automatico seems to have gone up in use. I am seeing more of the M97 shotgun at times as well.
M1903 Experimental still needs more buffs, I can use it better but it still takes way to much spam fire to take people down at any range (Though now I can hip fire it like crazy).
All LMG's are much better now. I loved them before even though I felt at a disadvantage at times but now they feel great to use.
The Landship is appearing much more now on conquest and other maps which I think is a plus since all I was seeing was mostly heavy tanks for awhile.
The AA gun nerf is noticeable, I have had more trouble taking out the planes from the smart pilots who stay away from the AA gun emplacements.
Not sure about the plane nerfs/buffs. Have not tried them all but the tail gun still allows me to destroy other planes pretty well. But I have not spent enough time in them to completely see every scenario.

Honestly, this patch I am more appreciative than the first one. I feel this has made some good changes and helped diversify the game. I still want the Automatico to be nerfed so we see more guns used from the assault class especially on modes like TDM but I am sure they will do that next. I am just happy (Being an avid support player) that LMG's have gotten so much love and made them forces to be reckoned with, I could do well before but now I feel on equal footing with others using SMG's and semi-auto rifles.
 
Finally picked the game up for PC. I'm extremely streaky but it's still a lot of fun even when I go from 24-14 to 8-20. Still better than using a controller on the Xbone!

I'm focusing on my scout kit first. I stick with playing the objective for the most part. Also, gas grenades and trip mines are my jam. Sooooo good, even in normal mode.

TDM? That should be banned in BF games.
 
The A-10 shotgun is still a beast. I just finished a round were I went 18/9 with it just goofing off. It will one hit like a motha!

I play it when I feel like a quick game since the matches are much shorter and I don't like abandoning my team in the middle of a round. Conquest, operations and rush are where its at!

Yea, its still pretty strong...Unfortunate because it may still need another nerf.
 
i keep seeing people with more 150 ping ... 400+ ping and still there. Waste a whole entire clip , grenade another clip they just dont die.
 
Ive noticed a few sound bugs..... I was playing a round last night on the new map fighting over the Zepplin. I went inside the 'carcass' of the zeppelin and was pushing the enemy back when i just suddenly just collapsed for no apparent reason. I was prone, got up, took one or two steps forward then tripped over my own feet and died.... The cause of death was a bomber, HOWEVER... There was a friendly players right next to me where i fell that was absolutely fine, I didnt hear a the sound of a plane and there was no explosion animation either and i went from full HP to dead in less then a 10th of a second.

It reminds me of the bug in BF3 where you'd vault over a fallen tree log or a wall and die as soon as your feet touched the ground on the otherside or where you would 'trade' with players your hp would go from 80 to 0 a few seconds after you had killed the guy who was shooting at you and there was nobody else shooting at you.

Sound bug is also on the end of round results screen where the music just suddenly resets or cuts off before it shows who got battlepacks.
 
There was a dude on a server earlier today who had a 300+ ping but was like 27 and 4. How do people do this?
 
With Procon gone, high pingers and laggers are going to become a thing with BF1 since you can no longer rely on plugins to kick those people. But you know, DICE did this so that all players could experience the true Battlefield experience.....

It's really unfortunate, some of these players have no choice since dice didn't bother to put servers in their part of the world.

And yes, it's been there since launch and I'm pretty sure it was in the beta.
