My cave (as she calls it.. it's actually a palace! Wondrous and spatious, lovingly soothing echoes getting lost in this ole cavernous grandeur! My own nutshell, a cosmos of my own making!) is of very limited space, which is an issue all by itself, but worse still, it's hawt down 'ere, yessir.
Add my current voltages on top of it all, mix them with my current box (why, why did i buy it..) and you know where it's all going, lol

So i started thinking what could i do, and it came to me that one way or another, having the radiator inside the case is an issue (either the air it's blowing inside the case is already warmer because it passed through the rad, or worse, the air it takes so as to cool the rad is warmer than it should be as it's sucked from inside the case).
So i thought that ideally, the rad should be outside the box, sucking air from the room and spitting it back out there, separately, without affecting the ambient case temps at all. Which would also allow for a hell of a lot better ambient temps, as i'd have cool air going in (just fans, no rad) and one measly fan up top and back helping it get back out (physics, hotter goes upwards all by itself).

So when saying "external", i mean more like any configuration where the above is a consideration in the case design. Maybe a box of literally double the width? Like a 'proper' case to the right (mobo and components inside) and its identical twin attached to the left (hence double the width), except it would only serve as space for vertically mounting a rad; the two 'halves' thermally isolated.
(which would also mean i'd no longer have to mount fans on the ceiling, even less dust accumulation)

Does anything like that exist? Haven't found anything, and googleing for 'pc cases external radiators' gives some empty boxes, entirely separate, ugly as #*$& and also problematic, as i'm thinking dust, dust, dust.

All ideas welcome.
(apologies for the wall of text, i wish i could draw what's on my mind. Pigs can also fly)

I've seen instances where peeps have had long tubes on the rad and had it below the floor were the air is cool.

You might no find one pre made but you could just mount it externally with brackets.

You mentioned tubes, so am thinking you're having in mind a proper custom loop; not what i've got going right now :(
edit: not even sure if it's even possible mind, just wondering. Might be something available as a solution and i just don't know about it.

Not exactly what you want ie a case suitable for an external rad
This is a "Full Tower Server case other side is the motherboard side ( its a project i'm in the middle of)
gives you some idea of the potential you could play with
""IF YOU LOOK AT INVESTING IN A TOWER SERVER CASE"

Ps I have no idea who made this case or how old it is all i know is it came with a duel P2 Server motherboard set up

@dorsetknob ooh.. niice!
Please post some more pics? Would like to see how it all looks like, get some ideas maybe? (extra appreciation if it's from all sides, lol)

(how my mind works.. random.. cases, cooling, pics, appreciation.. appreciation! Stevie Ray Vaughan time!
)
(( ... i know ... ))

I know for a fact they make external radiator mounts as well as enclosed external radiator encasements.The former being the cheaper cost wise of the two, the latter being extremely extravagant component.there IS a self contained case that is a radiator , but it is VERY pricey, and takes up the space you have mentioned is at a premium in your situation.
these are mounts

Man i'm sorry to ask, but could you give me a link? Might be 'cause i'm new (don't know where to look), might be 'cause i'm googleing it wrong, but i haven't found anything ready like. Thanks :)

this last one is likely closest to what you want

Thanks! :)

Funny you mention it, the last one? It was my original thiking, but then i thought "dust", so i started visualizing a 'double' case so as to eliminate that.
Should have seen the aquatuning one though, especially since i've ordered stuff from them before, but goddamm.. 630, that's a lot of money.

Way it looks thus far is that i'll either need a custom made one (no way as it should be a fortune), or go straight to custom water loops or whatever you guys call them. And they too cost a fortune, right?
Spent so much building this rig (got it right with the third mobo, yes, as you read it), she's gonna kill me if i go and do this too, lol

So my case is the old school version with 320 rad in a front door.

Had a thought get that new chiller or a helia and some really long pipes , oc your pc more And put the mousey(noisey) hot chiller in Her room :):)

I don't get phones .
