The Better Business Bureau is a for profit private company that anyone including criminals can purchase a membership from---and often do!
They are not a consumer protection agency of the government, what you want to do is contact the Massachusetts Attorney General;

I found that dealing with Marketplace sellers on Newegg can be trouble and often they carry products that Newegg does not stock, I found that Newegg can do nothing about any issue except revoke permission to sell there, which means firing a paying customer.

yeah that doesnt surprise me....i know its futile...newegg will continue to $hit on the customer, while laughing with a cigar hanging out of theyre mouth, counting our money.

newegg is like the Snydley whiplash of the internet...tiing some poor damsel to railroad tracks :)

I agree it's best to avoid at all costs second or third-party sellers. But you have to agree at least on some level that if Amazon or Newegg are hosting these sellers they should have some level of responsibility. The whole reason these third-party sellers want to be hosted on sites like Amazon and Newegg is because of the good name they have online , any buyer is going to go with Amazon over Larry's camera service.com any day of the week.it's just an opinion of mind that the hosting website should hold some responsibility or liability
That's shocking about the malwarebytes key - it's outright fraud. :shadedshu:

I agree that Newegg and Amazon should help you out if a marketplace seller screws up, plus selling on their websites should be some sort of guarantee of hassle-free trading. However, in my experience, whenever I buy something from Amazon, there's never a problem with it (not quite 100%, but pretty close) but the few times I've bought from a marketplace seller there have been a much higher percentage of things going wrong. Sure, the seller or Amazon were quick to put things right, but they went wrong in the first place when with Amazon that just doesn't happen.

I remember the time that I bought a cheap generic laptop PSU for a tenner off an Amazon marketplace seller. The thing worked for two days, but then died. I contacted the seller who apologized and refunded my money straight away and didn't want the failed PSU back, effectively trusting me not to be scamming them, but I still had the hassle of a failed PSU and buying another one. The replacement I got direct from Amazon still works to this day.

He used to live real close to where I live now. I'm assuming you're referring to Whiteys brother used to be the president of UMass Amherst(he was billy wasnt he)?

You're old enough to remember him?

Sadly yes. Also there was a network called boomerang, one of my kids loved the wacky races I don't know if you remember that show it was the best.

That or
or grape ape :)

He is still on a lot of boards in the area, including the Hospital.

crappyneweggbs.jpg Newegg is worthless period. I thought i would pick up another UPS for my A/V units so i ordered a cheaper Cyberpower one which should be more than enough. I thought i would pick Newegg and avoid 3rd party like i always do.

Well got to kinda wondering were it was and apparently it's been shipped from China, there was no warning or any thing about this. Sorry to say but Newegg is 100% dead to me now, if it had been though a 3rd party company then sure but this was not.

so F^*k'em they can burn in hell, proberly take 3-4 weeks to get the frigging thing.

yup here in UK it was Dick Dasterdly and Mutley

My wife has the laugh of that dog haha, tease her with it all the time.

I always called it asthmatic dog laugh. My Mom's fav cartoon.

Newegg rigs prices, view an item a few times price goes up. Even with the fucking rebate gimmick on an item they still do it.

Doesn't products say where it would be shipped from? Newegg.ca does this.

Don't complain about taxes on an Internet forum.... especially if your tax is single digit.

Yup eventually they will come after our free space and try to tax it as the tax everything in life..........

It's gotten to the point when I place a bad review blaming Newegg ,I actually get emails in return saying that review was removed even though there was no profanity or other vulgar content. Ever since I filed the Better Business Bureau claim they seem to be grumpy with me. F'em.
