FSP looks to break into the cooling market with their brand-new Windale 6 CPU cooler. Featuring a 240 W TDP rating, this sleek black tower cooler certainly looks the part. The question is whether it can stand out in an increasingly crowded market.

Looks nice and performs reasonably well, that fan reminds me of the offering that comes with Intel's A.I.O. coolers.

FINALLY! IMHO, there's nothing uglier than a big hunk of aluminum on/in most builds today. There's not much choice in these mid-range HSF's that aren't "a big hunk of aluminum". It's the reason I went with a H5 for a recent build. It at least has a nice looking black top. Now, they just need to come up with a way of sliding that fan up and down like on the H5. Oh, and how about RGB'ing that fan, even though I'm not into that.

Nice looking. Tests shown with only 1 fan (good cooling), so why not just put 2 fans in the box?

Both actually support the AM4 socket.

Though I don't know how feasible this would be, i'd like to know how this heatsink would perform with different fans i.e. Gentle Typhoons, Corsair ML120s, etc.

Maybe pick one of the more popular aftermarket fans and test every heatsink with it going forward, charting them to see how they all perform with the same fan, along with the fan/s they are sold with.

Noise levels seem little sketchy - at 25% PWM fan speed is more than twice that of the D-15 but noise level is the same.
I'm sure 420RPM means less noise than 1k RPM, no matter whether the other fan is 140mm or not.

Sleeve bearing + fully rubber mounts. The low noise level is surprising but its not that hard to hold a meter 30cm from the cooler and take a reading. Multiple reading same results. It is what it is. The fan is super quiet.

Fin design, cut outs for air turbulence can also influence noise, sometimes motor noise is higher than the rush of air. The FSP fan all you hear is air.

That's what I wonder. One makes practically no noise but with the other there's noise from turbulence.

Keep in the mind FSP doesnt move as much air just 60 CFM at max rotation. So either they are giving proper specs for the fan unlike other manufacturers ie being honest or the fans lack of push results in less airflow and thus less noise.
