EKWB has turned back time and gone all aluminum in their latest Fluid Gaming series of watercooling kits. Today, we take a look at the Fluid Gaming 240G kit that promises excellent cooling for all the latest CPUs from Intel and AMD and also includes a full-cover GPU waterblock for the higher-end NVIDIA Pascal GeForce GPUs, all at a price point intended to lower the entry barrier to expandable PC watercooling.

When the "gaming" everywhere will end?
Now on cooling solutions?
It's so boring...

It's the easiest SEO trick today, another is to include VR. Notice how even Intel has VR support mentioned on the front of their Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X CPU boxes?

Yeah!
You're right, I saw it yesterday but this time gaming cooler "triggered" me more...

We just miss cables for gaming, everything else is on shelves.

Wow, I the price for what it is, is really good....dang, I might consider getting one myself. Apparently 204.88 EUR in Europe...

Is there enough thermal pad to cover a 1080Ti, since it is a bit different?

There is plenty. There were four extra VRAM thermal pads left over, so you can use three of those for the 1080 Ti or all four for the Titan X versions.

Are you sure that is for the A240G? 205 euros seems too low compared to the USA pricing.

Too many corners cut, too much aluminium used for custom kit. going to stay away from it. Also warranty is two years, attaching screenshot of EK's website.

This is an all aluminum kit, so I would hope there is a lot of aluminum being used :D

But I know what you mean though, this is not for everyone. Their AIOs and these kits are EKWB's attempt to get budget conscious customers into watercooling.

just edited my comment, EK's website is showing 2 year warranty instead of 1 year as mentioned in cons list. Their Predator series and upcoming MLC is all copper build so might just go for AIO instead of all aluminium custom kit.

Thanks, I just got word that the warranty is 2 years also. I removed the 1-year from the cons list accordingly.

Predator series, as with other expandable AIOs, have actual expansion limits in terms of ease of use and potentially weaker pump. The Swiftech X2 series is the only exception to this rule. I am definitely curious to see how the MLC will be, but it is still not an actual product yet so can't be considered for this review.

This is what their website says :)

Is that before VAT? If not, that is a fantastic deal.

204.88 + 29.90 delivered at my door. So yes, 204.88 with VAT (shipping is extra)

Wow.. For once EU actually got the better deal. I think the shipping cost would be lower also as a result of the lower mass.

They are made in EU (Slovenia) so maybe that is why? But still, first time I see a better deal in EU vs USA

It's 250eur incl. 22% Slovenian VAT + 5 eur shipping (to Croatia at least).
You are seeing the price without the VAT because Macedonia is not in EU, so i guess you will be charged the Macedonian VAT + other fees when you try to import it.

Didn't predator use DDC pump which was same as the one Swiftech X2 series? Most Asstek, Dynatron and CM pumps are questionable and Fractal and EVGA recently joined the club with expandable AIO made by A**tek.

The EK Predator used a custom 6 W DDC which is slightly weaker in performance to their SPC-60 pump that is used here. Swiftech uses their own designed MCP30 pump in the -X and -X2 AIOs, which is a slower speed version of their MCP50X pump. The MCP30 is the strongest pump out of all the expandable AIOs I have tested so far.

Pretty sure it's somewhere on the box, "pre-drilled mounting holes for RGB LEDS" or something to that effect.

Nope, no LED holes here :)

That said, the manual makes reference to upcoming GPU blocks with backlit terminal labels. So the EKWB logo and the GeForce GTX (in this specific case) would be backlit via a cable that should hook up to the onboard LED header on the GPU PCB.

Barely beats a PHTC14PE. Better off getting that or similar air cooler, much less nuisance and no need to worry about leaks or pump fails.

Personally, I wouldn't call it a custom kit. But as mentioned, this gets people's feet in the door.
