I have some LED fans but they are the same color and to be honest they kind of annoy me sometimes. I couldn't stand a disco ball right next to me.

Hasn't RGB lighting been a "trend" for more than a decade now?

Not a big fan either, but I wouldn't mind having a moderate degree of lighting around. Helps with on the fly, low-latency, low-bandwidth status monitoring (in less fancy words: telling whether the machine is on or off. >_>)

I wouldn't mind good, subtle lightworks though. White LEDs with moderate luminance, for example.

My thoughts are I want my case to sit off to the side and be as discreet and quiet as possible and NEVER draw attention to itself. The blue power light is more than enough for me to see it didn't run away.

I don't wish to be distracted by lighted mouse pads (I don't use a pad anyway), or desk lighting. After all, I tend to pay attention to what's being displayed on my monitors.

my Water loop, Keyboard, and mouse are all full RGB(ive never set my loop, but it is RGB). i didnt select them for the RGB, but they do have it.

and My Reference 970 has some kind of green lighting on the side which says Geforce

I have the lighting in the case, case fans, keyboard, memory, and mouse, but they are a solid white.
No multi colors, blinking, of flashing. just a nice soft white.
The downfall to my rig is my video card (which I skipped a mortgage payment to buy :kookoo:

) which has the ugly Green logo which is disabled but lights up during boot-up and shut-down. :wtf:

My Three RGB Mainboards are set on red.
My LED case fans are red too.

I have and love my RGB keyboard, but mostly because i can control the static lighting to whatever i want.
I spent years with a blue backlit keyboard, now i can change color whenever i feel like it.

I feel the same about case/RGB fan lighting - if i can control them all together and set the lighting in sync (static or animated) i can see a point to it, but this trend people have of just smashing random lights together like a shitty disco is dumb.

the current RGB trend is about controlling the lights, or syncing them together. I know a few people who cant tell the difference between that and the old shitty rainbow LED fans.

The inside of my case looks like vomit. Blue+Red, add in my green tubing and it’s pretty gross. I have been meaning to pull it and see if I can desolder the damn red one...

I recently had to retire my G500 and replaced it with a G502 I don’t mind the RGB I have G19s so I do carry on the blue theme
