Vanguard RTG beta testers wanted

Crosses fingers

@everyone especially the newer people here, be sure to fill in your system specs on TPU so if Jake pops in at least he can check what your all using for hardware.

Thanks

Hi,

did the next batch of invites go out yet?

Thanks.

I take it no one here received an email yet? :(

Applied.
Sent the application twice because I forgot to add the other note, sorry

I've been getting a number of people PM me about why they haven't received an email from the Vanguard team.

Please go to the number one post and reread it please. It's an application process that I have no involvement with when it comes to whom is chosen.

The Vanguard program is looking for specific combinations of hardware.

I do, and have sent the leader recommendations on people that I firmly believe will participate in the program.

This thread was not created as a for sure " I'm in if I applied scenario" but rather to remind the public that this program is still open for everybody.

The team leader was saying that only 2 out of every 10 emails sent would reply.

Jake has a lot on his plate to deal with, he participates in Discord and is constantly working with the programmers in real time plus submitting tickets on problems we find with the driver. I would really like to tell you more but I can't and I do apologize for it.

All of us we've been extremely busy pinpointing issues and trying to resolve problems. Remember Vega has just come recently and that just adds to the workload. A couple weeks ago I found out we were 50 strong but not even half participate.

They snatch up the drivers and don't communicate bugs or any type of issues and those people are slowly being weeded out. Last week there was about 5 new members brought in to the program. I do assure all of you that he actually does read every single application but like everything else things take time.

I really do appreciate the enthusiasm that all of you share with AMD and the interest in the Vanguard program, so thank you. He is looking for passionate people but time isn't on our side. When a few of the bugs get ironed out, then that will give Jake a bit of free time for more recruitment.

Also a reminder to check your junk or spam email folders just in case.

Thanks for the reach out :)

Always happy to test things.

Vega 56 is on my short list :)

STOKED!

I'm waiting for my damn monitor to die. 8-years and no worse for wear. I want FreeSync 2 so bad.

I dont really care anymore for the vanguard program....maybe they are looking only for newer cards, my 380 getting old but its still strong.

Waiting for 17.9.2 :toast:

How is the vanguard program coming along?

Figuring out lots of bugs. I seen a mention this morning about recruitment again today.. but who knows. I really haven't been participating in chat the past week or so just because of the drivers are working for me and for what I need them to do.

I do know he's looking for people with Vega Fe card owners as there's only about two guys in the group that have them and they need more of them for testing.

I dont care to much about entering the vanguard program, im just checking how the things are going...

Yeah Vega FE is a pretty expensive card...and not for gaming.

Im waiting for the big stuff in december...now there are seems to be only minor updates and fixes in the driver.
