Thats how it started with nvidia
you had to have 2 identical Cards Same Brand ect for it to work
then they losend the requirments so you could mix brands but not models
Probably in response to people finding crossfire so much more Brand Agnostic Compatable and then going with that solution

you buy your single Nvidia card and later when you buy another card when you can afford it to SLI you seldom can find a matching Card
while thats rarely the problem with AND/ATI

Most of your procedure seems to be correct.

But from your post it's not clear to me:
- Whether the patching itself was successful?
- Whether the Install script was successful or threw an error?
- Whether you still have test signing mode enabled while the system tries to load the modified driver (in normal boot mode)

BTW, you don't have to disable/re-enable the graphics cards in Device Manager. Since you're in Safe mode, these drivers are not loaded anyways.

Hello thanks for answering, I will send a series of screenshots for each process I do so you can review and see what failure, and I've been using this mod of different SLI, I had not encouraged to use it from version 1.5 IE had already time out of Game, it's practically the same process as before just that now it doesn't work for me. Also reading several pages before a user happened the same and you answered if he made sure that Windows did not load the video drivers by default? Is there any way I can help it?

I went back to do the whole process, Windows did not let me load the modified driver, the only solution I had was to restart and enter forcing Windows to disable the compulsory use of signed certificates

That's well known and explicitely stated on every recent install instruction here in this forum.

It's these commands:

bcdedit.exe /set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe /set NOINTEGRITYCHECKS ON
bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON

As well as setting UAC to low.

Hi guys! I'm new, and newbe here. I'm reading almost the 95 pages of this thread and don't know how to fix this stupid problem yet. Basically I copy the nvlddmkm.sys file from nvdispi.inf etc etc folder, and paste to the differentsliauto folder, and when I try to patch, allways gives me the message:
[C] : Patching was aborted because all of the patch locations could not be found.
I tried few things to fix it but the problem persists.
What am I doing wrong? I'm using 2 gtx 960.
Another question: Any idea if it is mandatory to use a Sli Bridge to run 2 VGAs with differentsli? Thanks!

My Differentsliauto version is 1.6.

The versions have to match the driver you're patching, so for example for 384.94 you need 1.7.1

No, but without the bridge all the data has to travel across the PCIe bus which may put an insane load on it, depending on the game.
In any case, SLI scaling will be a lot worse.

Then probably you didn't catch all of the old certificates when removing them before the reinstall.

What I was doing for almost a year without updating and stop worrying if not yet managed to get an update for this mod of different SLI, is working with Nvidia inspector and modify the SLI profiles for games of my interest, you should try not You will need a lot of a new Nvidia driver until they take out a new mod

Did you use DDU?
IIRC it has some advanced options to be even more stringent in its cleaning.

I registered to thank the author and describe a couple of points.
Downloaded version 1.7.1
1. Patch 2 drivers. the last one and 368 if I'm not mistaken.
2. Windows 10 and Server 2008 R2.
3. The most important point. For some reason, it is poorly described in the manual.
It is NECESSARILY to write the path to the driver in the file instal.cmd

ATTENTION in Windows 10 by default the driver file is no longer copied to the system32\drivers folder.
It is found only in Driver Repositories.
Also sometime bsod apears when i trying activate SLI in windows 10. Somtime is ok.

The worst thing is that I can not check whether SLI is working or not.
since I did not see improvements in 3dmark 11 and Batman Arkham Knight.

It was made for 384.94. Not sure whether it also works for newer versions.
