Hello, excuse me for my bad english
I have 2x gt 1030 same model, same everything.
I used the 1.7 DifferentSLIAuto and driver 385.41
When I go to activate SLI it appears that I need close some exes, I cant close because when i close in task manager a few seconds later they appear again. (the second one it doesnt appear)
Thanks
If the motherboard does not support Sli, then you could try SLI hack.

But these 1030s in SLI MIGHT be as fast as a 1050, maybe a ti.... it's not even worth the effort. Sell 2x 1030s and afford a 1050ti.

I have not been around for a while but I am pretty sure this is only for two NVIDIA cards and not SLI and Crossfire together.

SLI is dead as it don't serve a purpose in the 3090 regardless

when you cant afford or dont want to than hey its your choice, but i have two i have a z790 board in
i just askeed the coders for help not for commentators like you for an opinion

I think you misunderstood him. The 3090 does indeed support SLI. In explicit mGPU mode. Which means, if you have the NVLink bridge and the software does support such a mode, then it will work. No patching of anything is necessary. Implicit mGPU, however, SLI as you probably mean it, is straight up not supported by the chip itself. There is nothing to fix there. No amount of coding can implement the functions that are missing on the silicon.

ok thats some information, i can search deeper for.
i just found something about that the certifications for z790 is missing for the chipset,
cause of no certification possible anymore Nvidia closed the company part
Edit
but it does not fix the problem of the patcher under windowws 11 :)
i think there were some ppl out there which would like to see it fixed

Well at the end of the day who cares if it works with or without modded codes. Don't come crying to me if it don't work out for you. Not many games supporting sli in the modern age due to single graphic card is more powerful and efficient comparing the difficulty with sli so rest my case here

No chipset will have any certification for SLI going forward since NVidia retired the technology. You are, unfortunately, left to the mercy of software developers in so far as whether they decide to support explicit mGPU. The vast majority will not bother, if we are talking games. Something like Blender will work, though, if you are looking for a boost in productivity workloads.

You can do multi gpu setup but without sli meaning two or more gpu are tasked with different workload that about it only problem going forward is the higher power consumption and additional heat with and without sli as you said it NVIDIA retired the technology. My view is "Why flogging a dead donkey (SLI) when it already dead"

Just for the record I wanted to clarify that it is possible to patch Windows 7 446.14 nvlddmkm.sys as well with the known methods.
Not sure if it was mentioned before because from all what I've read in this thread it was some 3xx.xx stated as last working Win 7 driver. But it's certainly working on my end (2x GTX 1060, same model) with 446.14... think it came down to nobody really trying it maybe?!...

To add some info. It's running @ 8x/4x Pcie 3.0. From initial testing scaling is good, +70%. When I have the time I could add some benchmark results to this post.
