NVIDIA's Titan Xp Star Wars is a huge step in this direction and probably the biggest collaboration yet. What do you think about that?

I doubt this catches on. Only Star Wars has a small chance. Besides, since it's Titan, maybe the design departments in Hollywood put them up to it. Maybe they just wanted it for themselves.

Come up with a GPU with a RGB LED backplate that project the Bat signal and i'll think about it.

Preferably Christopher Nolans or Zack Snyders take on Frank Millers

Of course they did. But that's pretty meaningless since this is a move to bring in new users, not keep the old ones, who've already bought such hardware happy... far from it. You need to understand the psychology behind people making purchases in the first place for this to make sense anyway. And it does make a lot of sense. Just like everyone adopting "gaming" naming schemes... many if not most do not like it, but does that stop the OEMs from using it? NOPE.

In my heart of hearts, I always knew a Star Wars themed Titan Xp would hit the market before AIB Vega cards.

Maybe it was the huge hype around new Star Wars... or was that Vega? I can't remember, it's been so long.

I don't mind the concept if it actually looks good, but few themed things do.

That actually does look cool. But then Doctor Who is kinda mature thing and SW is especially lately Disney kiddie stuff.

"Mature". And Star Wars has always been a toy factory first and foremost, at least since the first one took off.

It's more than that. It was definitely for kids, but not a toy factory at first. Filmmaking wise, they have their place too. Lucas was great at telling story almost more visually than dialogue-y. We could have had more examination of life as a frustrated moisture farmer, but why? That picture of Luke at the sunset said everything. Not everyone can do that.

Dr. Who was only good when it started being goofy and less mature. To me anyways :D I grew up in the 80s, my brother was a fan, but I couldn't stand it back then. It wasn't until 10th and 11th doctor that I got hooked.

Ahem. Oh yeah.. Themed Hardware. Whatever.

I see the majority of votes are "NO"

I voted a big "YES"!

These "Star Wars" themed cards are probably the best looking cards I've ever seen!

If cards can come out looking like this in the future (different styles of course) I would pick one up for sure.

Y'all rekon there is a shit ton of regret in the NVIDIA marketing division right about now given the Battlefront 2 fiasco?

I used to just care about performance but not anymore.
Sure its important but to me, so is a sweet looking card like these "Star Wars" ones.
I've never seen a card look so damn good!
EDIT: Just to remind everybody... https://www.tweaktown.com/articles/...r-wars-collectors-edition-unboxed/index2.html
Sorry that's a Tweaktown link. If I wanted to go there I would just stare at a Mexican store front and see about the same amount of ads......probably less.

I'll buy a huge whack of Marvel-themed cards, as will many others, I am sure. Can't wait.

I also love the greater than 75% "no" responses. I guess the majority of people don't want PC gaming to be "mainstream" just yet, but I know that each and every one of those responses would change if the card was made tailored to their own personal preference. Maybe soon we'll be able to easily custom-order every single card, and the cover will get 3D-printed quickly at your local/internet shop.
