I had ADATA 32GB before. Non-RGB of course. Good generic brand, nothing fancy.

page 4 is where you REALLY need some video options. Just a quick cell phone video would suffice. Record the RGB lighting and put it on YouTube.

Or hell, just make a GIF and put it there. Anything is better than static pictures at explaining what you were trying to convey.

Also, I am wondering why my RAM speed is not so good. X99 versus X299 I guess?

Hi Cadaveca! I enjoyed reading this review. I was actually considering this kit for my Ryzen build but I couldn't find any reviews about them...unfortunately this review - for me at least - came just a bit too late, as I went ahead and purchased the Delta II RGB (2x4) from Team after reading the glowing review from here about the sticks. Still, I enjoyed reading this review and please do more reviews for the "lesser known" companies (like ADATA and Team) in the future!

I think ADATA is underrated. I go with them over others first and foremost. I've had some really good sets of RAM from them that overclocked very well.

Personally, I don't care about RGB on things - I find it rather tacky. Hopefully the RGB can be disabled should someone happen to get a set and decide against having it flash at them.

Nice to see more 8GB sticks running at stock voltage, but man RAM reviews are boring (not reviewer's fault though).

I was not sent a kit in the traditional sense of the terms, as I explained in the review; I was sent 4 individually-packaged sticks.

Memory is a pretty basic device. Variations on heatsink design, ICs used, PCB, speed tested for etc are about the limit for comparisons.

Also, I am wondering why my RAM speed is not so good. X99 versus X299 I guess?

Yeah, big differences between these platforms.

No, but I can check in just a couple of minutes... will edit this post.

EDIT: Typing from them now with AMD Ryzen 1700X; also booted 3066 MHz no problem.

Agreed. This was much more exciting in the days of Samsung's TCCD and CL1.5 DDR. Also back then memory controllers and L3 caches didn't do such a good job at mitigating RAM's latency.
