Purchasing DLCs for the Mass Effect 2 and 3 games has always been a pain, and expensive too. Players couldn't purchase the DLCs directly from the Origin Store. Instead, they had to buy special Bioware Points that are only sold in packages. Currently, the 800 and 1600 points packages cost $10 and $20, respectively. Due to the huge variation in Bioware Points between each DLC, players usually spend more than necessary to get enough points to purchase a specific DLC and sometimes end up with unused points. Although it's a little over due, EA finally puts the DLCs up for direct purchase on the Origin Store. The Mass Effect 2 DLC bundle is priced at $24.99, while the Mass Effect 3 DLC bundle will set you back $29.99. Just a reminder that the Origin Holiday Sale is still in effect, so you can get the standard edition for $6.49 if you don't already own them.

Finally, EA joined the modern world. @Prince Valiant these DLC's are mostly expansive and definitely add a good deal to the game. For the number there are, especially for ME2, they are well worth it.

Hhahahaa wow

I remember looking to buy ME2 and ME3 a few years ago and actually getting it DLC-complete was impossible. You needed separate accounts even on Biowares website. A simple GOTY isn't available. I pirated them both, which took all of 2 minutes.

You missed my sale, EA. Its telling how badly they treat their best content. They just don't give a shit.

Note to EA; When these titles(with DLC addons included) come to GOG, like many others you've released, I'll be happy to buy and enjoy them. Until then, no Thank You.
Don't forget to include the first game in the series..

Nice. I'll buy the Mass Effect 3 DLC bundle right away, immediately after it hits a more reasonable price of $10 or so.

Just looked it up. It's a part of the Trilogy pack which states clearly that an Origin account is required.

So again, no Thank You EA. When you go DRM free, stop treating the general public like naughty children and thieves and stop "Nickel & Diming" us with microtransactions and loot-box crap, you'll get more of my money. Until then you will likely continue heading in the direction of THQ and the like.

Well, two months ago I bought it and downloaded, as a direct from Amazon servers, and it plays fine without needing Origin. Sometimes the entry has two boxes at the top, and it results in two different methods of delivery. I'll consider it a lucky find at the time! :)

Fair enough. We all know how things change at the drop of a hat sometimes. Too bad I missed out on it..

I don't know why EA didn't do this long ago. It seems like common business sense to make it easy for your customers to buy your products.

It could have easily been Bioware blocking the DLC moving to Origin you know.

It was undoubtedly a nice little cash cow for them getting people to buy expensive DLC who had bought the base games cheaply on Steam & Origin.

I guess Bioware have now concluded they're not going to get many more sales from it in 2018 so have allowed EA to offer it themselves.

But EA owns Bioware (well what's left of Bioware anyway). Bioware doesn't call the shots.
