Doubt with my RX-560D

I recently bought a RX-560 online. The e-shop was selling it as "XFX RX-560 4GB" but I'd had read about the 560/560D types and asked the s-shop about that subject. The answer was "Is the 560 one". Bought it: what the box says? "XFX RX-560D". Ok, so, bad selling techniques apart, I had in my hands a card with 896 shaders. But when opened GPU-Z:

Is correctly Reading those 1024 shaders? There are some 560D that came with the 1024 shaders unlocked? Which card I have then? The odd thing is that if I click the "lookup" button, the info (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b4910/xfx-rx-560d-single-fan-oc-4-gb) for that card still says the shading units are 896...

Am I Reading or misunderstanding something wrong here?
Thanks for the replies if any.

If I remember well the AMD start selling those 560D version at first just like a regular 560 and then later on they correct that.....
Why don´t you start doing some benchmark tests? Then you will be able to see the difference.....

Looks like an unlocked RX 560D.
GPU and memory clock speeds and released date corresponds to a RX 460/560D.
A RX 560 should have clock speeds of 1295MHz and 1750MHz.
Is this a used card?

Check with other free hardware test program ? - HWinfo64 and two more others. I am not saying there is anything wrong with GPU-Z, but a quick and dirty way - statistically - will be to have a few more validations.

I wouldn't complain if you have the 1024 for shaders, look at clock rates too.

Nope, I bought it new. All in a closed and original box, cables, manuals and so.

My first thought with the closed box in hand was "F@ck it, I want my money back"... Then sighed and realized that even a 560D was a better option than keep using the iGPU r7.

Maybe flashing/unlocking additional shaders will give it even MORE free Power???:D

Well, checked with HWinfo64 and detects the card as a RX 460 (Polaris 11 / Baffin Pro). I'm glad to hadn't follow my first thought to return the card xD

Yep, the power to become useless and a fancy brick lol. Jokes aside, you're talking to someone who, when needed to update the Bios in his motherboard, was scared all the process and was eating his fingernails to the bone...

Thanks for the replies folks!

Modern motherboards have the functionality to update the bios built into them ,so unless you really don't pay attention, or you do something that was explicitly mentioned to not do ,you'll be fine. Video cards are different, because there is (iirc aib's might release a patch)no updates for gpu bios'. Just people screwing around with something they shouldn't be to get a couple extra dollars worth of hp,out of something they already paid for.

It's good that you have reservations about messing with firmware, it means you understand whats at risk. Only an idiot would not worry about breaking a component unless of course they're loaded and can afford to replace them

1024sp is good and all but that memory speed is way underspec, it should be 1750MHz not 1500MHz

Bios flashing is easy, almost fool proof on a motherboard. GPU, don't ask!:fear:I did flash 2 GPU'S last night after watching overclockers.net video on you tube. Took a while but I figured out my issue, was DOS not "seeing" my file(or the file had a bad name when i did the atiflash.exe). So I just added a second file same name, for some reason it was fine and then flashed. My XFX HD 6950 worked but sadly is suffering from cooked memory chips had white lines down my screen. I'm a try replacing the memory chip...
