Ubiquiti Labs today brought out a new networking product that provides a hardware VPN solution that works seamlessly with their HD mesh Wi-Fi system. The AmpliFi Teleport kit should be on your short list if you travel and need secure, foolproof access to your local content, which would also make reading through this review well worth your time.

I know a number of us use Ubiquiti products on TPU. I have yet to try their AmpliFi products. I use Unifi for both home and work. I also use EdgeMax at home which is easy enough to setup a VPN.

I have only heard good things about the Ubiquiti Networks products and definitely want to try the UniFi lineup if given the opportunity, the AmpliFi is from their consumer-friendly Ubiquiti Labs division.

I have the AmpliFi HD with 2 mesh points and it works fantastically! I used Unifi before and this is far better. UAP LR and a Edgerouter just couldn't get good enough signal in my home. I went from 15-50Mbps to the Unifi to now 877-1000Mbps. the main AmpliFi is in the same place as my UAP-LR, but with those mesh they help greatly. My PC is in the basement and I have a Meshpoint in the kitchen above the gaming room. It has to go through Ssate floors and 12" bulkhead. Other meshpoint is in garage to reach to the addition.

Sadly my internet is only 2Mbps...

The only real issue is lack of features on the app.

What features are you looking for? They have been pretty receptive to my comments, and at the very least I can pass on feedback.
