Still a bad deal, its only a 3GB card with a 192 bit bus, it should be about $170.

Still beats lowest price on Amazon. Just pointing out you can get one lower than the miner's have driven them.

There is a seller on my local craigslist selling "brand new in box" 1060 6GB for $345. Claims to ship too and will provide receipt. I still won't bite on it, the price is too damn high for what will be last gen soon.

Meanwhile, in 'not so cheap' Holland in regular shops with no weird risks involved: (note 6GB)

So cheap it is not, availability however, is another key factor here. Look at the blue boxes (number says no. of sellers) - most of these are out of stock, but the MSI on the bottom there is available in 3 shops.

I'm not sure if that was aimed at the "questionable" sellers on Amazon and the Egg, but if you're concerned about Massdrop, that's really not an issue. I've purchased a few things thru them, and never had issues. In fact, I'll "let you ruminate, whilst I Illuminate", to quote Uncle Walt :)

A few months ago, I came across a Massdrop for a Gaming chair from AKRacing. Now, this chair promised many, many bells and whistles, and I was due a new chair by at least a year or two. So, after discussing with the Mrs., I was given permission to drop a much larger amount of money than I would normally on this gaming chair. A month or a little more later, I received an email from the Massdrop support group. Apparently, the chair manufacturing company (whomever makes chairs for AKRacing) had failed to manufacture the chair with a tilt "lock", which was listed as a feature of this chair. This was their notice to me, outlining my options.

(1) Receive the non-tilt locking chair, which we can ship to you by the end of next week. As this is more than a month before the estimated ship date, please also let us know if you would like to change the shipping address on this order. Please let us know by end of day December 17th if you would like this option so we can get it out to you.
(2) Cancel your order and receive a full refund. We will also issue $25.00 to your massdrop account which can be used on any future order.
(3) Wait to receive the tilt-locking chairs which will be available to ship in late February.

Now, this doesn't sound like much more than good business, right? You ordered A+B+C+D, and we only have an item with A+B+C, would you like a refund or wait for the full item? The actual "customer service" part of it was this line:

AK Racing has agreed to offer a partial refund of $25.00 and is currently manufacturing more chairs with the “tilt angle lock” feature for those who prefer to wait.
We have already processed a refund of $25.00 to your order and you can expect to see the funds in your account in the next 2-3 business days.

Which meant, I'd be keeping a closer eye on Massdrops in case something else good came up.... I got a refund whether I chose to wait for the "full" chair an extra few weeks, or took the existing "non-tilt locking" chair, or even cancelled the whole order, simply for the inconvenience....

That's great and no wasn't specifically aimed at your find, but mostly just to put some perspective to the sometimes 'low' prices of individual & international sellers compared to regular shops that have to abide by all sorts of customer protection laws.

i wont be buying any GPU at those prices. if they stay this price, ill be staying with my current one for as long as i can.....im not gonna feed this trend of ridiculous pricing. not that me not buying will make a difference, but if everyone did, it would.

Agreed, if you wait long enough the graphics cards will only increase in power relative to price (assuming the trend breaks or crypto bubble pops), and the more patient you are, the more enjoyable the upgrade anyway, it is always fun to go from obsolete tech to the cutting edge rather than small incremental barely noticeable improvements.

Honestly, you buying or not buying has nothing to do with it because the miners are the ones driving the prices up.

If every gamer refused to buy, the prices would still be high.

The good thing is, I strongly believe this is a temporary trend.
