CD Projekt Red Opens Wroclaw Studio to Help Develop Cyberpunk 2077

Located in the city of Wrocław, south-western Poland, the new studio will join forces with CD PROJEKT RED Warsaw and Cracow, and bolster development of Cyberpunk 2077 - the upcoming futuristic AAA role-playing game.

"Wrocław is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced cities in Poland and a playing field for serious creative talent. I think the scope of our current and future projects, as well as the overall package we're bringing in, will pull in people who were hesitant to move to Warsaw or Cracow." - says Adam Kiciński, President and Joint CEO, CD PROJEKT Capital Group. "The founding dev team of CDPR Wrocław is already pretty stellar, but I still can't wait to see what talents we'll discover in new people along the way." - Kiciński adds.


Consisting of 18 talented industry veterans, Wrocław-based developer, Strange New Things, will form the core of the new studio.

"We're pretty hyped to be on the spearhead of this new office." - says Paweł Zawodny, Head of Studio, CD PROJEKT RED Wrocław. "We know Wrocław inside out and it's an amazing place to make games. The team is strong, and I'm sure we have both the experience and the creative firepower to make Cyberpunk 2077 an even better game." - Zawodny adds.

The "please don't screw this up" is immensely high with this one. I really hope that they will get some synthwave extraordinaires for the ost such as pert, brut and others

Polish government recently neutered their judiciary branch. Think of it like this - now if someone was to investigate corrupt politicians and die of a sudden lead poisoning, the courts would do nothing but shrug, while the perpetrators continue to live happily ever after.

Well funny how you think of it while for a very long time now there was a coin toss in a court is you win/lose, or if for example you are a judge and you steal on camera high court just sad it was a "accident" and move one.

Or......it could also be that they need the extra help since they have stated it will be a much bigger world than TW3, and want it to be the best possible game.

I don't think bugs will be a problem. They don't a publisher to press them into releasing unfinished stuff. They do revisit polish (pun intended), both the first and the second Witcher got free enhanced editions. But bugs I don't recall ever being a problem.
If there's a problem with Cyberpunk, I expect it will have to do with the story, because they don't have mr. Sapkowski's novels to build on anymore.

... and no one would be happier than me, but I did read somewhere how they expanded the dev team significantly during TW3 while losing part of the core team, and the game and all the extras, expansions and enhanced editions were done in one huge, long crunch which resulted in unsteady progression of Cyberpunk 2077 overlapping project ... something about constant brainstorming without actually starting the project for quite some time

A better DeusEx is definitely something I would look into.
