I personally like Asrock better than Asus, when buying motherboards. They are a more focused company, that used to basically just have one product: motherboards. IMO, Asus is too big, and not as focused - they have tons of different products, and tons of different models of everything.

Sapphire makes all the OEM cards for ZOTAC... its not just shares they do the board designs
i see the PCBs when im adding them to the database lol

no.. they really are duplicates... the heatsink wont be the same its a different gpu, the shroud is identical.

I don't really think so. PC Partner makes the cards. It's also oem/odm for Sapphire cards, though Sapphire has it's own fabs too.

Asus: Here, shills. This is what you get.

I can hear the plastic squeaking all the way from here. Yikes. This shroud design belongs to 5 gens ago, when nobody cared about a clean and homogenized design.

For those under me commenting about ASRock's support in AMD: There might be forces from Asus here. This might be what you guys get when asus does partner with NVIDIA.

Say goodbye to STRIX's signature component and cooling quality?
What are you going on about? ASRock hasn’t been part of ASUS for at least 10 years. Is that connection what you were on about? Well, you can rest easy, it is gone.

Nice to see ASRock in the graphics cards business. Let's hope AMD does something good in this market soon. It's needed. We better not have an "Bulldozer" era in GPUs.
Well, now that Ryzen has pulled them out of the red and Epyc gave them a proposition for the server market (where the real $$$ are), they should have some spare change to throw in the direction of their GPU division. After all, it's that division that kept them from going under in the Bulldozer days.

ASRock is using Colorful shrouds for all of their lineup. i dont know anything between asus or ASRock or Pegatron, but ASRock will not be using anything ASUS has for this generation of GPUs.

n January 2008, Asus began a major restructuring of its operations, splitting into three independent companies: Asus (focused on applied first-party branded computers and electronics); Pegatron (focused on OEM manufacturing of motherboards and components); and Unihan Corporation (focused on non-PC manufacturing such as cases and molding).

I think you should do what I did take snip's of each picture and scale them (bracket and PCI) the RX 580 is longer and if you draw the fan blade curve, copy and overlay on the other you can see the 1060 has more profile.

it doesnt matter, colorful all they did was resize it they used their design as it would look for an 11 inch card, i am 100% sure this is colorful not 99.9%.'

i showed the 1060 out of the 50+ shrouds they make that look like it.

Colorful is the only one with the end of the card that looks like that and the front and the design for plastics

That link does not change the fact that pegatron's board of directors is made of ex and current Asus execs!
And that casetek and kingsus who own pegatron are partially owned by the owners and shareholders of asustek.
This is a multi-corp illusion.

Damn it, are people tying anymore? Do your proper research instead of searching wikipedia

The gist of it is, since they're legally distinct entities, the decisions Asus makes have nothing to do with the decisions AsRock makes.
Unless your point is the GPP conspiracy is implemented by Asus though conspiring with AsRock to offload their AMD portfolio. Which is too much conspiracy for my liking.

Yeah, checked couple of colorful gtx 1060s on your database, same looking shroud. Hmm you are missing Point of View cards are they not real?

Of course, i get your point. In many markets like mobos, they compete directly.
But, considering the fact that pegatron's holders are some of asus', and combining it with the odd time of these cards coming out and GPP, there might be something to it
