The Phanteks Enthoo Evolv mATX Tempered Glass takes the aging Enthoo Evolv as inspiration and gives it a fresh modern take. With its RGB elements, much better liquid-cooling support and a long list of refinements, you may not even recognize it anymore were it not for the same timeless design and excellent use of materials.

Thanks great review if i am upgrading pc this year this is my case of choice.
One question do you think it is possible to front mount 280mm aio with fans in push/pull configuration?
I would personally prefer that to compensate for restricted airflow.

Great review! I was tempted to get one of these for myself except for the GPU clearance.

I have to say that I'm disappointed about the GPU clearance as it couldn't fit my old 1080 HOF. Quite strange really, especially when the In Win 301 which is overall smaller, has better clearance.

It would be nice if they also gave a high airflow modded front fascia, as well as top section, as has been used on previous models.

I'm starting to question the value of these "reviews" when a system isn't even run to test thermals and sound levels. I do realize there's a large amount of work needed to be done, but the case reviews seem to be nothing more than advertisements.

The case is starved for air, as with all Evolvs
I have the Evolv ATX, and the front is not choked. The front plate is fully gapped around the sides and bottom. Phanteks does a remarkable job of making it look solid while having pretty decent airflow. The top "is" restricted more than it should be though.

I have 16 fans in my Primo...11 in the Luxe, 5 in the mATX... the mATX turns the entire case volume over about twice per second ... no air flow issues ... temps are great. There's no magic involved here... you have two choices, you install a rad, you leave the air filter stuff in to prevent dust, you take them pout if you using exhaust. With 5 fans in a case that small air flow is not an issue.

Jayztwocents had an editing rig in one of these and had to keep the side panels off to get acceptable temps, since the front DOES restrict airflow quit significantly.

Then again, this review wouldn't have told you that, since it features zero thermal testing - even comparitive, or with uncontrolled thermal environments (Gamersnexus test all cases in uniform room temperatures for example).

Another day, another phoned in, trash case review from Darksaber, sadly. All he reviews is looks and build experience. He doesn't even try to understand acoustics or thermals, and as a result he's given a 9 points or more score to MORE THAN HALF of all the cases he's ever reviewed. (Since 2006).

I've got the ATX version of the case, and thermals aren't bad at all given the overly closed top. It's not perfect but the case is a work of art.

Sure, and that's why there are so many mods to improve airflow...

Here's some more. These people must be stupid to waste time and money.

Are those mods made by random people or bought. Because:
Option 1. Not everyone has the ability, knowledge, time and/or tools to mod.
Option 2. It's no longer a $130 case. At which point you can get a case with better thermals out of the box.

But yeah you're right it shows the, let just call it, improper airflow

Do YOU actually own the case? I do. Is it perfect? No. Does it work without the sky falling? Yes. Does it NEED to be modded? No. But does any case ever need to be modded? Probably not, but people still do.

Anyway I'm done with this thread, too many people just want to argue over nothing. Opinions are like asshole Joss, everyone has one and well.....

The original H500P would like to have a word.
