Check this video, it gives you an idea of what to expect and it's pretty interesting (LinusTechTip).

The short answer is yes, it's okay. Often the cards may be a little less powerful (let's say max 5%), and the cooling solution isn't the best, very cheap, but you shouldn't be disappointed. The support and after-sale service is often crap too if you're not very lucking with DOA product. But overall, the cards are still buyable :p.

PS: you did a typo in the title, werid.

The only one I recognize out of that list is powercolor... Not sure what that says about the rest of them.

but sometimes its very clear that this is a scam, for example a gtx 1050 for 69 dollars from NXDA ??????

Colorful and Yeston are Japanese market brands and are ok.
Powercolor are sold in USA...
Problem with ordering a Yeston or colorful is lack of warranty outside of Japan unless stated in description.

The other brands are known eBay fakes

I just bought a powercolor. Not weird at all really. Just a big vega with 3 fans. It got good reviews (the Red Devil), but honestly, I only got it because I didn't want a brand that also made mobos. lol. Since I use a supermicro board, seemed fitting to not get a ROG or something.

Powercolor is a good brand. Colorful makes one of the ugliest GPU's on the market - they are a Chinese brand, but I have no real experience with them. I haven't heard for the others.

If you are looking for green team GPU I recommend Palit, Gainward, Club3D, MSI, Asus ...
If you are looking towards the red team search for Sapphire, MSI, Asus, XFX, Powercolor...

You can bet these cards are lacking in one way or another. If you intend to push them hard, avoid. Quite sure you'll have a higher chance of blowing up the VRM at some point.

Things can and do change but the general rule of thumb always applies. When its too good to be true, it usually is.

All of those Taiwan companies are big here too (USA). But Powercolor is Taiwan too, and kind of an up and comer. They only specialize in gpus though, so they're not as big as the others.

They had a spinoff brand (shut down now) that sold in Asia and Europe as VTX, but you still may not have heard of it. All of their stuff is Powercolor branded now.

Cool..

Have you heard of Sapphire? They're about the same size and Taiwan too. Thing is, don't be deceived if you've never heard of a brand. Sapphire is actually the OEM for AMD's branded stuff.

Really, you could say many of these Taiwan companies are somewhat interchangeable. They may share the same facilities at times (like using Foxconn for manufacturing... which Powercolor does. Although I'm not sure if the new Vegas are made by Foxconn).

quite interesting specially for the 1080 ... soooo it's a FE PCB with a 980Ti stock cooler that cost ~200 ish less and has pretty similar or even sometime better performances than a FE thanks to a better cooling it seems (less throttling ) ... shame on Nfool' ya for the FE overprice then .... (hilarious )

and for the 1060 5gb .... it's awesome ahah ...

Powercolor sells a lot of GPUs in Europe. I think that their designs are usually over the top gaudy with huge heatsinks.

I wouldn't say PowerColor is only an up and comer. They've been around for 21 years and been retailing flagship products for close to 17 years...

The PowerColor brand was established in 1997 by the TUL corporation (撼訊科技),[1] based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. PowerColor maintains office locations in a number of countries, including Taiwan, the Netherlands, and the United States. The United States branch is located in City of Industry, California, and serves the North and Latin American markets. Tul also has another brand, VTX3D, which serves the European and some Asian markets.
PowerColor is a licensed producer of AMD Radeon video cards. The majority of PowerColor cards are manufactured by Foxconn.
PowerColor's AMD video cards range from affordable cards appropriate for low-end workstations, to cards for high-end gaming machines, thus catering to a wide range of the market.[5][6] PowerColor's manufacturing arrangement with FoxConn has given it the ability to change the specifications of cards, allowing them to announce products with higher specifications—overclocked by default—than AMD or its main competitor, Sapphire Technology.
PowerColor products have been widely reviewed and have gained a number of awards at computer hardware review sites.

Not a Fly by Night ebay scam Brand.

Still have one of their ATI AIW 9800 SE AGP Graphics card fully working and currently hibernating in packaging :)
Its One of the "Major brands you can trust"

Hello!? Power Color is a reputable brand. Yeston has been around since as far as i know the Radeon X800 days- asian market only.

Colorful as far as I know is a Nvidia Brand.

The others sound like trash.
