To view this case mod, go here.

Specs:
Asus P5N32-E SLI,Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz,4GB OCZ DDR2 1066, 2 150GB raptors raid 0,500GB storage HDD,2 samsung sata 18x burners,
Thermaltake Hardcano 12 SE, 2 EVGA 256mb GeForce 7600GT, AuzenTech X-Meridian 7.1 Sound Card, OCZ GameXStream 850Watts Power Supply, LIAN LI PC-V1000BPLUSII W Black Aluminum case.

Mods:
Used a Thermaltake Max Orb CPU Cooler, and changed the Video coolers to the VANTEC CCB-A6C,replaced case fans to 3 SCYTHE SFF21E 120MM S-FLEX.

I built 4 systems with the V1000 Lian-Li case, not many places to hide wires, with the added cpu cooler,gpu coolers and case fans the computer runs super quiet.I ran 3dmark2001, burned two two cds, ran winamp, downloaded 500mb game demo all at the same time and still scored 41000 point in 3dmark2001. Super Strong PC.

I think what he meant was.....a kick ass rig like yours, needs 2x kickass nVIDIA cards!

Your system could/would be so much better with a better graphics card(s)

I wouldnt waste my time with 2x 7600GTs in SLi, sorry m8 :(

No offense but two 7600GTs in SLi as they said arent worth it, even in SLI its performance isnt stellar.... The RAM too, how did u get it to work? PAE? doing all those things at the same time doesnt really mean anything though...

Anyway get two 8800s and it will be worthwhile.

7/10 from me.. if you can afford that setup, you can afford better video cards. why did you even look at anything under a 7950GT?

I play all my games at 1680x1050 on a Samsung 226BW, I really see no reason to upgrade yet, when the games start chopping then ya but for now the 2 7600GT work fine.

i never said mine was better just that 2 cheap video cards seem out of place on a rig with high end parts

I would say the same also.

No offense to the TS, but 3DMark01 just doesnt cut it when it comes to benchmarking new rigs! You need to run 3DMark06 m8.

PS: I get 38651 in 3DMark2001 2nd Ed @ default. Which isnt too far behind yours, but look at how much more cash must have been spent on your system compared to mine......those 7600GTs are holding you back ;)

There's no argument from me that Nvidia 8 series video card will work better in the system, and I can buy them today, I'm just not looking to build the king of the hill computer with this one, I use this system for video editing and burning and a game here and there. My gaming system will be called steelkanepc Black Pearl Sli ocean. that will be fully water cooled with evga blackpearl motherboard and Blackpearl 8800 ultras. harddrives, memory, power supply will be water cooled also. Just waiting for the blackpearl parts to become available.

where do you get that kind of money? i mean blackpearl 8800 ultras, that's just really expensive, and how will you water cool the power supply (jw)

Give the man a break! He's got hella good hardware in there, and as he said, he is getting all the performance he wants at 1680x1050. Now if he was hoping to run Crysis at 1920x1080, then he may be out of luck, but it doesn't appear that that is the case.

<rant>
This is a case gallery to show off a case. We are rating the case. This is not a rate my hardware forum (a rate my hardware forum could also be called the "Guess my income" or "Come see where the money from my paycheck goes" forums). I mean it's fine to mention to him what you think of the specs of the machine, but when you are giving the rating for the case, do just that; Give a rating for the CASE.
</rant>

I give it a 7/10 from a "case gallery" point of view because it seems kinda dark and I dislike the wad of cables near the powersupply. Also, I dislike the front panel, but everything else seems great.

Fair point m8 :)

I think its just because its strange to see such a good (and expensive) rig with crappy video cards. Most peeps that can afford that kind of hardware go the whole hog and have 1 or 2 tasty graphics cards aswell (atm, either 8800GTS/GTX/Ultra or HD X2900XT 512mb/1GB)

Very nice system but the graphic cards are let down. I would of got 8800 GTS 640MB in SLI or GTX in SLI.

Dont care what video card you have..even 2 8800GTS in SLI I would still give 6/10. Its a case gallery...Seems with that large case, wires could be hidden somewhere!

the wires you see on the left side of the case are the only wires that would fit back there, if I put any more wires back there the side panel would not fit. I like neat wires too, and this is the only thing I dont like about the case, If Lian-LI would have gave 1/2inch more on the left side, It would have been Perfect.
