Capcom's Monster Hunter World is the fastest selling game in the publishers' history, and now, finally, PC gamers are on the verge of being able to play the critic and player-praised title. The release date, set at August 9th, will make sure PC gamers have a high-profile release to keep them going through the Summer. We'll see if the delay in launch (the game has been available in consoles since January) translates to good performance and optimization - but it does seem so from the available graphics settings, which include TAA for anti-aliasing, subsurface scattering, foliage sway, and most importantly, resolution scaling that helps achieve a more fluid game experience.

The PC system requirements for Capcom's upcoming Monster Hunter World have been outed alongside the release date, and they speak of a game attuned to today's mainstream systems - if you have a 64-bit OS, that is. NVIDIA's GTX 1060 3GB and AMD's RX 570 round out the recommended GPU list for 1080p High settings @30 FPS while an AMD FX 8350, Ryzen 1500, or Intel i7 3770K fill the recommended CPU list. Minimum requirements include Windows 7, a GTX 760 or R7 260X GPUs for 1080p low settings @30 FPS. The game will be available through the Steam distribution platform, and feature Denuvo's anti-tamper protection.

I smell a poor port.

Yeah 30FPS is big red flag...

The game can run 60fps on PC, easily, and Capcom ports have been pretty decent in my experience.

If there are any red flags, it's the inclusion of something as useless as Denuvo.

>@30FPS they better change that i played the game on PS4 PRO AT 60FPS better support that...

Sharpening my blades already!!! Ive been waiting for the hunt like crazy... i hope is 60 fps after all this long wait.

Will be mine before the 9 XD . I have been waiting it for so long.
About that 1080 @ 30 fps high , is about the performance you can get with that setup same goes for the Minimum.

Maybe they were optimizing the Denuvo implementation.

Let's hope is not bad implemented , like for example AC Origins and they had to cut it out.

"I Hope its 60 fps"

Speaking of lowering expectations... damn. If the game caps at 60, avoid it, how bou' da. Its a clear sign of a poor, badly optimized port.

Would you rather have no port at all? The game LOOKED amazing on PS4 that's for sure.

Some game runs justfine at 60 fps and if they tie the physics of the game to the FPS like Koei have done in the past in some games , going over 60 is not going to be good .
I played Nier Automata and going over 60 don't help at all .

The into video certainly doesn't make this game look appealing. It did score well on metacritic. I'll hold my reservations for steam ratings once the PC port drops.

Steam ratings are awful. You'll see a lot of reviews giving bad reviews but yet have hundreds of hours into a game. If a game sucks I cut my losses right away and stop playing it.

denuvo and 30 fps...I'm out

They cut Deunovo from AC: Origins? What about VMWare?
The game runs fine now right? Is all about how is implemented . If this suppose to be anti piracy thing does not use system resources i don't see the problem .
About this "30FPS" thing, people learn to read please , with the minimum and recommended requirements their say you can get low or high 1080p at 30 fps = Is not capped at 30 fps XD .

Exactly and the 3rd screenshot at top of page even says 60 FPS in the options.

Still is meagre but OK

I'm not seeing much of that amazingness. It looks OK. It also looks,.. typically Japanese, with the good old CAPCOM/NAMCO engine trickery with a lack of dynamic lighting and shadows. They 'cook' everything beforehand and much of the lighting is fixed. Take a closer look and you will start noticing that, its a real pattern that you can also find for example in DMC, Bayonetta and a bunch of other titles. It reminds a bit of the good old 'painted' backdrops you'd see in platformers way back. The result of that is a low-contrast image across the board, and you can see this very clearly in this Monster Hunter game.

Also, take note of the lack of Ambient Occlusion and the fact that only the monsters cast shadows. This kind of engine/game will run on a potato.

If has same RE7 base engine gonna run well, i ended RE7 @R7 260X 2G at 1080p and decent FPS with "Shadow Cache" Enabled and not much low settings
