Gigabyte Launches AORUS P850W and P750W Power Supplies

Gigabyte today announced the release of AORUS P850W and P750W, the first PC power supplies (PSUs) from its premium AORUS brand. The new P850W and P750W bring up 80 PLUS Gold power efficiency silent operation, as well as modular customization, and enhanced durability.

80 PLUS Gold certified the AORUS PSU delivers superior electrical performance at a minimum of 90% energy efficiency, ensuring power waste is kept at a minimum. With less heat and reduced fan noise, gamers with AORUS PSUs can enjoy cool and quiet gaming environment. With optimal support for Intel Haswell processors, the power supply is also ideal for achieving reduced energy. Using 100% Japanese capacitors and premium internal components throughout the design, the AORUS PSU provides users with extended product reliability and lifespan.





The single +12V rail ensures the best power output with stability for the hardware, making this power supply ideal for overclocking. The 135mm temperature-controlled smart fan is automatically adjusted according to the actual power usage so even when the power usage is lower than 20%, the fan will automatically activate the stop function to ensure energy saving and stable power supply. The fan uses an ultra-durable double ball bearing design, which offers prolonged product life over 50,000 hours.



AORUS P850W and P750W power supplies not only have built-in OVP/OPP/SCP/UVP/OCP/OTP circuit protection designs but have also undergone rigorous testing of various safety regulations in various countries. I believe they are CWT units, most likely one of the corsair platforms.

It means they cannot possibly be trash if they come with a 10 year warranty. Heck, my fantastic Corsair HX850 v1 PSU from 2009 "only" came with a 7 year warranty. It's still going strong btw.

And where exactly have i said these PSUs are trash? I was referring to part of the actual manufacturers of PSUs, not in particular to these, besides i also had a corsair, a HX620, one day it decided to blow up (while nobody was using my pc), 5 years warranty! Yeah more like 1 and a half.

Gigabyte would not in a commercial sense offer a 10 year warranty if they thought that the Vast majority of those units would fail to last for 10 years
However gigabyte's Reputation with regard to product RMA under warranty is Currently Dubious

Mainly due to annoyance and trying to get better scores on reviews due to better voltage ripple. Those kinds of cables might come into play on tight bends as it is annoying having caps near the connectors and all kinds of hell plays out.

Would not the first time an OEM sub contracts a platform, Superflower and Seasonic both do it and no one ever gives them crap for it.
