Our GeForce RTX 2080 card is here in an inconspicuous DHL box. We decided to picture every step of pulling NVIDIA's sexy RTX 2080 Founders Edition card from its packaging.

Hell of a good looking card!

Love the wrap around design of the backplate, they really did do a good job designing something that looks unique

Gotta say that baby really does look sharp for a founder card. I am a little bit scared to see the benchmarks. I'm not expecting a huge jump in performance this gen. I could totally see nvidia going back to milking money until AMD puts a little bit more pressure in the gpu industry. We will see. Prove me wrong dang it!!!! I'm all in for innovation. I just need those benchmarks. I need my fix. I'm an addict for tech.

It's not entirely fair if you don't give them ANYTHING else to do...

Do you think I spent the last year and a half twiddling my thumbs while the GPU prices went to the moon and back?

IDK about you, but I was enjoying my 670

it to the point I don't ''upgrade'' I just replace as needed if a part goes bad and unuseable my ''old'' stuff is still doing all I ask year after year [for less money...lol ]

Those heatsinks are very enclosed, the body of the card covers too much.
may have good air flow exhaust out the back/ front of the case through the card ?

maybe they will check that in the bench reviews ? with the fans blowing the air got to go somewhere . maybe not trapped in the cards body or dumped in the pc case ?

Good looking? Sexy? Wow, that's sad that you all think black and silver plastic looks sexy. Reminds me of the "oh look at me I'm not beige" late 90's PC cases.

Well yeah I'm kind of fed up unboxing nonsense too. Which makes me wonder is there some clause on NDA/Embargo papers that reviewers have to do them now-a-days.

I think youtubers started it, then everyone followed. Gotta catch all the clicks.

The Gamers Nexus physical teardown of their 2080 Ti got frustrating for Steve after about a zillion screws and not being able to get the front shroud off. They finally got their no disassemble #5 guidance and stopped, I am sure Steve might have eventually gotten the front shroud off with enough time though.

I believe Macintosh users may have started the unboxing thing back in the early Jobs return days when the packaging became as well designed as the products themselves. [waits for Wintel [yes I'm old] users' hate now]. Of course this was before YouTube or even decent digital cameras so they were just a series of analog photos on a website.

I have only used an Apple 2E. I'm very fortunate. OSX makes me want to punch babies.

I can see that b/c apple was doing useless aesthetics early on.
