Ubisoft released v1.11 patch for "Far Cry 5." The patch introduces a large number of new cross-franchise in-game items, some cosmetic such as masks, others functional, such as new weapons. A number of bugs and under-the-hood stability improvements were also introduced. Perhaps the biggest change is the new "HD textures pack," for the PC version, which makes the patch bigger in size than the one console gamers are getting. The pack increases texture resolutions across the board, which improves visuals, but can be much heavier on your video memory. The feature is recommended for graphics cards with over 4 GB of memory.

Update: I bought my copy directly from UPlay, while W1zzard got his via Steam (i.e. launching the game on Steam spawns UPlay, which then launches the game; updates are Steam's responsibility). We noticed something curious. My copy has the 29 GB HD Textures Pack (being distributed as a DLC) available as an "owned DLC," whereas although W1zzard's copy got patched to v1.11, the HD Textures Pack is not available. There are no in-game settings to enable it, nor was W1zzard's patch download as heavy as mine. This leads us to believe Steam users (i.e. people who bought the game on Steam) don't have access to the HD Texture Pack yet, whereas those who purchased it directly on UPlay do. Tell us your experience in the comments below.

The detailed change-log of Far Cry 5 patch 1.11 follows.
New Additions
  • Added New Masks:
    o For Honor: Kensei
o Ghost Recon: Day of the Skull
    o Ghost Recon: El Tio
    o Watch_Dogs: Wrench

    o Rabbids: Biker
  • Added New Weapons (also available in Far Cry Arcade):
    o P08-L
    o Flamethrower "Neon Sparkle"
    o MBP .50 "Blood & Dragon"
  • Added New Vehicles (also available in Far Cry Arcade):
    o 1970 Zugspitz XS-2 "Cyber Edition"
o 2014 Adjudicor Mastadon XZT "Surface to Surface"
o 2012 Kimberlite TCZ "Hot Rockets"

Does anyone still play this? I didn't even finish it. Godawful boring same old. It doesn't even have cool guns anymore, just five reskins of the same crap we've seen in previous games.

Yeah this was the worst 35 EUR I spent in 2018, I can say that with absolute certainty :D (Before you ask, key seller) And that's even considering the setting and me being a convinced atheist too. No satisfaction whatsoever from blasting down religious nuts.

This is the first in the series I have played and overall I enjoyed it. The bow and Peaches was very satisfying. Cheezeburger and Boomer was entertaining as well. All that said, I don't have any other games to reference it to as I think this was the only game I got this year other than Kingdom Come.

FC5 is and was probably THE WORST FC ever released. I've got bored completelly after a couple of hours and that was it. I think the last good one was FC Primal, since it has an original environment.
Personally I think Far Cry and Assassin's Creed have to die.
They are stretching the butter too much.

So much hate on this game, but honestly, it's not that bad..you don't have to climb towers anymore, the story is set in America and is about a cult Christian group trying to take over the land. Primal does not have an original environment..it has the EXACT same map layout as Far Cry 4...
The voice acting is top notch, I don't see why so many people dislike this game..Also, I bought mine on steam and only had a 1.9GB download patch. Hardly enough for an HD texture pack I think.

It's just the same boring grinding, taking points, doing boring side missions, etc, etc. The story line and gameplay are overly crap, very unbelievable and ridiculously cheesy mixed with fantasy. Literally there is nothing that this game will do to make me trying to reach the end of it, the end of the story. It's THAT bad.

I've got the Steam version as well, and don't have the HD Texture Pack. I would guess they are going to release it later as a separate download to help with server load, but it kind of sucks that those of us using Steam are getting screwed.
