That page may be set up to only show in stock items because NVIDIA doesn't allow backorders.

I really don't even get the point if the alleged reason for being out of stock is true. NVIDIA will fix the problem and they'll resume selling cards. Even if you're affected by the defect, the card is sold with warranty which represents a contractual obligation for NVIDIA to fix it in a timely manner.

Fearmongering, baiting, sensationalism, etc. This is what happens when everyone with internet access can become a "news" maker. Tech actually invented a name for this before it became mainstream: "fud."
but the 1080ti in the same alleged state says something different, why doesnt the 2080ti say the same as the 1080ti.

a lot of issues being mixed up including driver related BSODs. Sure, even 1-3 % RMA rate is quite a bit of cards and guaranteed to disappoint if you got one at this ridiculous price and if there is something further to improve, it should be investigated and done. But removal from web store is now being used as proof to issue, which doesn't seem to exist in abnormally high rate so far. Give the company a chance to respond properly before throwing in the towel in anger.

I've noticed a lot of complaints in all sorts of forums and places and it's also not going away. It can't be all a conspiracy.

So is anyone gonna be mad if they drop RTX prices by up to $300 (or more) in the coming days, talking about current owners of course.

Remember how people got furious about Shadow of the Tomb Raider being on sale just a month after launch? The game's price dropped to 40 US dollars, from 60, while the special Croft edition dropped from 110 dollars to 60 (all numbers are rounded).

Now, imagine the reaction of someone who bought a RTX 2080 Ti at 1200 dollars, being told few months later that the card had a 25% price drop. If I had bought it, I would be probably burning with anger.

It is indeed scary times for the GPU market, AMD need twice the power to beat a two year old 1060 by 10%, any issues with beastly 2080 Ti's sold out need to be clung too.

You're presence on every Nvidia related topic with the word "AMD" in your mouth and completely unrelated remarks is always amusing. You know your troll game is slipping up when your comments look like they were copy pasted from somewhere else and posted by mistake.

Just stating the obvious, I know that upsets you.

You presence in every Nvidia thread is also amusing, in your defence, what else is the to discuss beyond Polaris in overdrive, that POS is poor.

There is nothing out of ordinary about temporary removal of products from web stores. Everyone does it. But in this case, it is used as "proof" of major issues and ammunition to fuel fake news and obviously nothing but prompt addition back, at least 2 pages long apology and few Tweets will tame the flames. During weekend, you cannot expect prompt official resposne from company the size of NVIDIA. Hold yer horses, and call/email them first thing on Monday morning and query about this.

They have

eTeknix - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Now De-Listed on NVIDIA’s Online Store

Update 18/11/2018 20:29 GMT – A spokesperson from Nvidia has reached out to us to dismiss this story. Stating that the item is simply out of stock. Instead of showing as “out of stock”, the NVIDIA website simply removes the item from the store, which led us to believe that the item had been de-listed. This is false and we apologise for supplying false information. We’ll update again as any information arrises to that fact, or otherwise.

Straight from that same article(someone dropped the ball on spell-checking). So, no the plot did not thicken in the way you suggest though it does show the cards are still selling out..

Edit: Just checked the site in question, everything seems as it should.

I didn't make any personal jab either. He can't help himself but spawn unrelated AMD vs Nvidia comments that serve no purpose , I just pointed that out. That's right there to see as well, for everyone.

To be fair, @Fluffmeister didnt make any personal jab. He talked about AMD really not having a response no matter how bad Nvidia is screwing up. It is YOU that lowered the discussion level going directly after him. It’s right there available for any to see.

AMD have nothing to do with this thread.

Anyyways some things going on, umm maybe i guess time will tell. Chances are people are jumping before looking.

Didn't even know, but I guess that's the thing for us who gets games on launch.. Like I bought GTA V and Fallout at full price, and the price dropped few days later.

Well, if people would be always worried about that, nobody would buy anything if everybody would just wait for the prices to drop. I'm getting a Ryzen setup soon, but this time there wouldn't be a better time for black friday. :D

I was wondering when a thread like this one is gonna show up when i saw a similar news article over HardOCP. I must applaud TPU for having higher journalism standard than a selective few sites on this. I mean what is the deal with all these FUD recently? People should be excited about new technologies, not cursing it. Geez do these folks wanna go back stone ages? You would think tech lovers would come to TPU but we got all these haters.

The "2 per customer limit" always cracks me up.

I'm curious why? It was an attempt to thwart miners that was at least casually enforced at the cart...

LOL, You can deny the truth all you want. There is the order it happened.

To be fair though the AMD comment is fairly OT and random. Is it a personal attack when it's got evidence and facts behind it?
