Antec Inc., a leading provider of high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself market, presents the latest addition to their range of enclosures: the Antec NX100. The case is now commercially available with grey or yellow color accents from 34,29€ (suggested retail price including VAT).

The new Antec ATX case ensures an easy building experience, supports high end components without breaking the bank. It features a full-sized plastic side window panel to show off your components. The entry-level enclosure measures 430 mm x 190 mm x 462 mm (D x W x H) and is compatible with ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards. The NX100 is available in grey and yellow and supports VGA cards with a length of up to 350 mm and CPU-radiators with a maximum height of 155 mm. It accommodates up to a total of five 120mm fans, and includes one 120mm rear exhaust fan to start with. Furthermore, the NX100 offers space for a 240mm water-cooling radiator in the front and a 120mm radiator at the rear.

Seven Expansion slots, 2x 2.5"/3.5" combo bays, and two dedicated 2.5" bays provide enough room for drives and cards. The USB 3.0 & USB 2.0 ports on the front panel provide handy options for connecting a vast range of peripherals to the latest motherboards, or slightly older and less sophisticated models. The thought-out case also comes with a ventilated PSU compartment to keep the power supply cool, yet the cables hidden.

Poor Antec. I remember when they used to be a big name in cases and power supplies. Those days are long gone.

At any rate, this doesn't look like anything particularly special. I realize it is a budget case, but they should really open up that front panel and try to compete in the value airflow market. As is, it is going to be super choked off. You could argue that they are going for silence, but that doesn't make sense given that the top vent is always open.

Looks good so far. The only thing I don't like, is how most OEMs (incl. Antec in most cases) misuse the FP_USB30 header.
Instead of 2xUSB3.0, 1xUSB2.0 and a card reader we get everything backwards.
Always thought that having a pair of 3.0 ports on the front is a must nowadays (at least for copying photos/videos from phone to USB stick etc.)

P180 mini was my favorite. Used it for my first HEDT build (LGA1366).

For sure. Years and years ago, I had a sonata myself. At the time, that was a high tech silence case with its innovative features like silicone mounting grommets. The hinged front door was kind of an annoying piece of shit though. The key lock felt kind of unnecessary as well.

These days, my solution for silence is just to use a meshify C and stick quiet stuff inside (thanks noctua!).

Yes I agree, but seeins how this is 2019, this NEW case should also have at least 1x USB-C port on the front panel....why waste that space on antique 2.0's AND a card reader......this is sooooo 2012-ish :D

Wanted to add that too, but Type-C is not really critical, even in 2019. Most phones and external enclosures that have a Type-C connector today are either USB2.0 or at most 3.0 speedwise, and they always come with Type-A to Type-C cable. And most of other Type-C peripherals are usually made for laptops or other portables (e.g. dock stations, card readers, display adapters etc.).
The interface itself is cool as hell, and I'd love to see a widespread adoption, but I don't think it's gonna happen in the next 2-3 years at least.
I have an FP Type C connector on one of my mini-PCs and I don't think I've ever used it at all, even though I have 2 phones with Type-C interface and one very good and helluva expensive cable. Kinda got used to carrying around my cheap and durable $1.50 Type A to Type C cable w/ USB2.0 interface (still works w/ QC2.0 and QC3.0).

I recently used this case to build a budget rig for a friend - it was a pleasure to work with and the magnetic dust filter at the top is a nice touch, for sure.
