Intel Prepares a Mammoth $11 Billion Investment in Israel

Brighter for who? not us cunsumers i am sure as i dont believe any smart consumer want to live another ten years of domination of Intel again..
Not the same cpu for almost 7 years again please!
AMD has something series now, and just like we need AMD to balance Intel, we need Intel to balance AMD back. This is healthy for us consumers.

US is under Trump administration. Wants a lot of taxes, people want to earn big money to buy big trucks and big macs. UK is under Brexit still, so nobody is stupid enough to go there until things clear out.
Israel on the other side has pretty talented people, wages are lower than either US or the UK, probably also taxes are better. Lets not forget that Core microarchitecture was built in Israel. Business man are (in big numbers and percentages) jewish. They know their stuff, compared to US or UK, so I think it is a logical move from Intel's part.

Erm no, less Taxes on the People, Tarrifs on foreign items.

If intel is doing this AMD must of really shaken them up.

If I wanted another reason to buy AMD this would be it.
Intel's investment in Israel is dictated purely for political reasons, it's been nothing but a free gift to a state that owns its existence purely to the generous purse of the Western tax payer. Buying Intel, today, is to help fund a status quo extremely pernicious and detrimental to European and American Citizens.
I could go on but this is not the place. Mods, please, don't erase this post, it is tech related even if it sounds otherwise.
Fellow gamers and builders: buy AMD.
AMD especially now with zen2 coming out, has the undisputed performance crown. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to buy intel. As for the whole israel situation; i have alot to say about it but don't want to get into politics. At the very least i can say that in my opinion; dealing with/supporting Israel is unethical.

Was a tongue-in-cheek remark and a joke. I game at 60Hz, which Ryzen can do just fine, and I also edit images for my family which can eat a lot of threads so naturally Ryzen gives me the best of both worlds, because the Intel CPU i was looking at other than 2700X was 9600K (£40 cheaper, but needs its own cooler so price is about the same). Yes Intel is better for pure gaming, but overall multi-tasking, productivity and gaming combined Ryzen is almost unbeatable. (I also didn't want to pay £260+ for 6 threads in 2019, sorry).

I also don 't buy Intel because i absolutely hate it as a company, more than almost anything else in the world. It's a scumbag, cheating, lying money-grabbing cancer of a company that abuses its position and marketshare to spread lies and other anti-competitive behaviour, rather than letting its product speak for themselves. (9900K 50% faster than 2700X!). I support AMD because I support innovation, fairer prices and better products. And I don't have to sacrifice any performance either :) In fact i gain some. I will freely admit I am a bit of a fangirl though.

Or your just cheap or you follow the croud.
Where i work we make clean room pumps, Ive seen many frames heading to Isreal over the past nine months. And some E zeniths.

I was waiting for the mandatory anti-Semitic post whenever Israel makes the news and this forum never disappoints. Anyways, like others have said, Intel needs to invest more in Fab if they don't want to be left behind. Good for them as long as they don't raise prices.

They certainly won't raise core count for a decade if they can get away with it.

Relative to the third world the taxes are still high man. Context.

That and tariffs hurt business as much as tax.

who is driving currently Intel ? Only CEO can make such decision, and they don't have CEO yet. Seems that CEO is only puppet, and strategic decisions are made by others

Since when Israel dependent on the West for money? What??
If that is about those 3 billions from USA (and which also includes Egypt receiving cash due to the same agreement), then that is just about a drop in the bucket.
Israel's whole military is paid for by America...it's their state terrorist thug in the middle east....what's the only difference between a suivide bomber and a cruise missle? Money

Keep it on topic guys.
