NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce desktop software. Version 418.91 WHQL adds day-one optimization for "Metro Exodus," including the game's RTX support. It also adds support for DLSS in both "Battlefield V" and "Metro Exodus." This last part is crucial because DLSS requires a lot of pre-processed "ground truth" data from NVIDIA to work, which are shipped in driver updates like these. The drivers also fix a wide range of issues related to G-SYNC, "Apex Legends," display corruption on "Hitman 2," and "ARK Survival." Grab them from the link below.

  • [G-SYNC]: With a G-SYNC and G-SYNC Compatible display connected in clone mode, flashing occurs on games played on the G-SYNC display with G-SYNC enabled. [200482157]
  • [Apex Legends]: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error message may appear and then the game crashes.[2503360]
  • [Hitman 2]: Pixelated corruption appears in the game. [2504274]
  • [Iray][OptiX]: Iray GPU acceleration crashes and falls back to CPU acceleration. [2503738]
  • [HDR][Ni no Kuni 2]: Enabling HDR causes the application to crash when launched. [2483952]
  • [ARK Survival]: Multiple errors and then blue-screen crash may occur when playing the game. [2453173]
  • [Batman: Arkham Origins]: PhysX fog renders incorrectly [2451459]
  • [Firefox]: Cursor shows brief corruption when hovering on certain links in Firefox. [2107201]
  • Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) is not available for monitors with 4k2k timings. [2496987]
  • Random desktop flicker occurs on some multi-display PCs [2453059]
  • Random TDR events occur. [2500396]
  • [iRay][OptiX]: iRay GPU acceleration crashes and falls back to CPU acceleration. [2503738]

must just be you. I just played witcher 3 last month on my gtx 1070 with latest drivers and 0 issues.

does anyone know if the freesync range of a monitor applies to the new gsync? or does gsync make up its own numbers with the new drivers when enabling gsync on a freesync monitor?

I uninstall this driver 418.91 from 5 PCs. It produces frequently crashes in different video cards, windows 7 and 10. Re install driver versión 417.71, problem solved. (RTX2080, GTX1080, GTX 1060 different brands)

A lot of problems with 4xx drivers, from what I saw, this make me to wait, before buying a rtx card.
