then I realized NO ONE CARES
This statement is incorrect.

"Some don't care" or "Many don't care" are probably true, but there are plenty of others that do, me included.

For example if having a conversation or argument with somebody about some modern AMD CPU or motherboard, I look if the person is also having an AMD computer.
If they list some i5-2500 it may seem they have little or no experience on how Ryzens work, so I might be looking at somebody else's experience instead ...

There might be more reasons to have the specs listed, not just for bragging rights.

Actually, it would be even more interesting to have a SEARCH for those specs.

For example, locating people that list a certain gaming mouse or a certain motherboard, to ask for specifics that only those people having that product might know.

@W1zzard
Thank you for not making your new forums look like a unicorn threw up all over it. I don't visit Tomshardware very often - maybe once every couple of months, just to poke around and see what folks are posting about or to help someone with computer issues.....

Apparently they updated their forums about 2 weeks ago and it's got redish-pink colored buttons and words, when you highlight them to copy/paste/quote it highlights in pinkish-red. Over all, it looks like crap. The color palette hurts my eyes. I don't know who over there thought it was a good chance, but holy hell, it'll be last time I check their forums out.

I have to agree with this. THG has gone to the dogs in recent years and the color schemes are not very good.

The tags that appear on the main page aren't carried over to the forum. For example, this article clearly states it is a "Press Release"
https://www.techpowerup.com/253369/evga-announces-associates-program-get-discounts-and-earn-rewards

But when you find the exact same thread in the forum, there's no sign that it is a "Press Release"
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...rogram-get-discounts-and-earn-rewards.253369/

Personally, I think it should be in the title: [Press Release] EVGA Announces Associates Program - Get Discounts and Earn Rewards

That way people know what they're getting in to before they click the link.

That's correct, the underlying issue is that the news posts are no longer stored in the forum. I can think of a possible fix, just gotta find a bit of time to implement
