Okay, I see now that I have been given negative points for participating in a discussion. Nasty and pathetic.
First of all, I don't have time for these forums where a minority of people intoxicates the environment with their bad attitude.

Ok i will proceed to locate a working bios

Ok to answer your question, since this card has a mining bios on it, there is no telling if both bios 1 and 2 are flashed with it.

Some cards have a quiet bios but we typically don't have that info here. I would suggest flashing 1 position, verify that the card boots up first.
He took a bios mod tool and lowered the clock speeds, possibly adjusting ram times too.

Ok the bios switch by default has a quiet bios and a regular/boost bios.

Flash both bios switch positions and lets move along.

Better yet since you are so unsure ask sapphire for help since you have proven to not listen...
/thread.

You know why I hesitated? because I noticed you didn't really know what was the switch for, which was the initial question.
And since you are one of those guys with a giant but fragile ego, once I balked, you started harassing me.

No, I'm not flashing anything, since I was patient to get the information that these cards have two independent identical BIOS and only one of them was flashed.
No, it's not "Ok", you're wrong, there's no quiet and regular/boost bios, there's 2 IDENTICAL BIOS from factory.

You know why I know that now? because I researched, I waited for second opinions and I got the information.
(You just had to ask yourself «if there's a quiet BIOS and a boost BIOS why am I telling him to flash both switch positions with the same BIOS?»). Be humble.

The thread title is:
Question about the Dual vBIOS - do you have to flash it twice?

The answer is no. Dual BIOS means 2 identical ROMs with twin BIOS. Why? because this is a card made that Sapphire made for gamers and overclockers. If you crash one BIOS, you have the other one. There's no need to flash both.

I have this information now and and I hope that it will help future users.

Thank you anyway and all the best.

You were told some cards have quiet bios and oc bios but that's not always the case, so yes it could have 2 identical bios on both positions it's doubtful, so your blanket statement of "do you have to flash it twice? = no" is also incorrect depending on what has been done to the card, I could go on but tbh I've lost interest now. You have a modded bios on the card anyway and you can't even see that, in fact both bios are modded. You came asking for help which you were given then proceeded to go off on your own little tangent and look at other modded bios and not bothering with the stock one you were linked to, I was going to go and have another look but tbh I really don't want to if this is your attitude towards people who tried to help you. Good luck with your GPU.

I have a better understanding of this stuff due to fact of owning the card I have.

It doesn't matter what position the switch is in to flash.

In your situation since your card was mucked with it's safest to remove all traces of mining from a card.

I looked for a secondary clock profile from sapphire and none were found as they updated their website. Also dual bios are for recovery as long as the user such as yourself doesn't flash the cards with a non compatible bios twice.
Some cards have what is known as a quiet bios.

I recently helped a user with a RX 580 Nitro Special Edition find the correct Gaming/OC bios and one that would suit his needs for a quiet one.

So you know you were asking some friggin stupid questions.

Your pompous arrogant attitude just earned you a bad reputation on here and all I can say is good luck receiving help fron anyone here.

Don't let the door kick your ass on the way out.
