Help , 0xc000021a when trying to install Windows 10

So my SSD arrived and it's time to install windows on it , so i downloaded the media creation tool on another laptop and then installed the windows installer on a USB stick , everytime i try to boot from the USB i get a BSOD with the code in the title , i tried to disable secure boot , tried to boot with one RAM stick and SSD and the integrated graphics , nothing worked :cry:

What model of SSD is it? My first guess is that it's NVMe in a board that doesn't support NVMe. Try updating motherboard BIOS first if that's the case.

0xc000021 is missing a digit... Is it 21a or 218?

Kingston A400 120GB , i tried to disconnect it but that didn't work too.

So, to be clear, you didn't install windows to the SSD, but to the USB stick??????? What SSD 'arrived'? Please list the model!!! The more information the better! Is this on the H61 system in your specs?

I would recreate the install image on a different USB drive. If you can't even boot the USB drive, there's something seriously wrong with that stick or the data on it.

Make sure to run Media Creation Tool as admin. Also recommend using a USB stick with at least 8 GB of capacity.

Definitely update the motherboard BIOS if you haven't already.

No, what i installed at the USB is the Windows 10 installer , Yes thats my system , that 200GB HDD is no longer there.

Yes thats the problem when i boot from the USB it gives the BSOD after loading for like 10 seconds , it's a 16GB Kingstone USB ,The motherboard is running the last BIOS version available.

The trouble definitely comes from the USB stick. You can try to download the .iso and burn it to the USB key using Rufus.

Try rufus to create the bootable drive, i only use this and never have a problem

Also try this for .iso's. NOT warez as you need a key for them.

So I guess it means if he disables secureboot/TPM in his UEFI it should fix the issue? But it's kinda strange an official usb key from media creation tools gives a secureboot error.

Yes, Secure Boot has to be off but there's likely more options in regards to the operating system that need to be changed. Like, if there's an option for Windows 7, disable that. If there's an option for Windows 8/8.1/10, enable that. Make sure legacy boot options are disabled. Make sure the BIOS can see the SSD. If it doesn't work still and there is an option to disable the TPM, I'd disable that too.

I think what is happening is that the board isn't technically malfunctioning. It is that Windows is trying to load a driver for something on the board that is security related (like the TPM driver) and the user-mode driver crashes, which the kernel-mode driver catches and BSODs because security cannot be guaranteed. The only way you're going to be able to get it to work is to disable that device in the BIOS so Windows setup doesn't try to install a driver for it.

Hello again , today i'm going to get another USB and i'll use RUFUS , but before i start i have 2 questions :
1- What partation scheme should i use , MBR or GPT ?
2- What file system should i use to format , FAT32 or NTFS ?
You can find my PC specs under my name and Windows 10 is going to be installed on the SSD.

if working with Older OS use MBR + NTFS / if just for W10 and don't plan to migrate this drive then Use GPT / File system NTFS

GPT bootloader with target system set to UEFI, and the file system formatted as FAT32 will work as well.
