2 free games with the 2400g is a smoking good deal.
division 2 is mediocre and has major technical issues, wwz is somewehere around 6/10 in user reviews too.
not very impressive, but still two new games for free.with a cpu like 2400g it's pretty much unheard of to get a deal like this.

sorry but i dont see any + with having some ladys name on a badge on my pc case would improve my game play :) but two top titles now thats a big + i can see the point in going for one sort of. i think something more in clock speed would of been a better sell.
If you don't see any plus of this, don't buy it.
It's a product. If AMD decides to sell this, they surely know there's demand.
Collectables aren't something AMD invented.
'AMD turned 50 and all we got was a lousy T-shirt'
Yeah. Honestly, I expected more. Maybe optimized CPU+RAM sets? Maybe a custom gaming laptop even?
Many AMD fanboys hoped for a 2800X with some magical properties (like >8C or 5GHz).

T-shirt is kind of... silly.
No but really, AMD should learn a thing or two about selling products at premium. Its like they don't WANT a profit margin sometimes.
Why all this free stuff, doesn't the product sell itself?
Isn't this the fundament on which this brand is built? Bundles, finewine, low price.
I think that's what their customers want.

Even if you don't get a "better" CPU, a $50 premium for a Gold Edition of the Division 2 (standard edition was given earlier to Zen+ CPUs) + 1 new game (World War Z), an exclusive T-Shirt and a signature is quite a good deal.

And this new GPU bundle for the RX 570 and RX580 again make them much better deal than a GTX 1660, not to speak of the 1650.

division 2 is mediocre and has major technical issues, wwz is somewehere around 6/10 in user reviews too.

The Division 2 made upgrades compared to the first game and is considered to be the best looter shooter game in the market. While WWZ is not a fantastic game, it got around 70-74% from reviewers - TBH, i expected much less, around 50-60. And please do not refer to Metacritic user reviewers, because their 2-3/10 Mortal Kombat 11 reviews are irrelevant. They are the same as the review bombers on Steam regarding the Epic Store games (Metro, Borderlands).

Any AMD 2000 series CPUs get the 2 free games, so there is still a $50 premium over the regular price 2700X.

Should have had a solid gold IHS for the ultimate heat transfer.

If only gold actually had higher thermal conductivity than copper...

Gold: Thermal conductivity W m-1 K-1 310

Copper: Thermal conductivity W m-1 K-1 223

But copper has a much better cost per W/mK compared to gold

So its a fancy box and a T-Shirt, wow ;)
Well, anyone in their right mind would not buy a Ryzen for a 50$ premium right now, when Zen2 is so close...

(Really hoping to buy a 12 core Ryzen 3000 for that price in about 6 weeks...)
Well, people bought i7-8086K's when 9700K & 9900K were about right around the corner.

Watch the first 15 seconds of that exact video. "The AMD included one is also copper."

They've always been copper. Intel and AMD both since standardizing on their respective IHS design choices have used copper.

I probably should of been more clear and said custom copper IHS

Probably you simply didn't know what IHS are made of and you simply can't admit it.
And if AMD replaced the IHS with "custom copper" one, it wouldn't be "custom" any more, right?

Anyway, you can't really improve from what you get by default. You could make it thinner, but that compromises strength. Copper is expensive - it's very unlikely AMD or Intel give you too much of it.

And maybe you need learn how to talk to people properly and not talk to them like youre constantly looking for a fight or talking down to them?

Anyway I thought they were copper but wasnt sure but i know they are nickle plated something.

To answer your question - yes it would still be a custom IHS because regular 2700Xs wont have the same thing. My understanding is its an Anniversary or limited edition model that will be produced in limited numbers. an all copper IHS would be like an icing ontop that made it extra special when everyone is running around with nickle plated stuff.

Its not supposed to completely replace the regular 2700X but if production is limited to a small batch then why not?

Maybe if I knew you personally, we worked together or you had really great legs, being insincere but nice would make some sense.
But this is an internet forum. It really depends what you expect. Likes? Company? Knowledge?

I wasn't impolite in any way. I was honest. I know it hurts sometimes.
You weren't sure what IHS are made of - you could just ask (us, google, Intel's documentation...)

Because unplated copper sucks.
Gold: Thermal conductivity W m-1 K-1 310

Copper: Thermal conductivity W m-1 K-1 223
Oh, Google helped. 223 is thermal conductivity in imperial units: BTU/(h⋅ft⋅°F) - not that anyone should care about them...

Nah, just some common decency, manners and respect which seems you are severely lacking in. I dont talk down to people and pick fights with everyone I interact with on TPU which someone here is trying to do.

Anyway, Say what you what I will not be responding to you further. Have a nice day.

Should have came with Mortal Kombat 11 and Sekiro. Oh and instead of Lisa Su sig, it should be a Lisa Su round-house kicking an Intel chip.

Dead or Alive kicks Mortal Combat's nuts. Never liked that series that much.

Instead of two pre-choosen games, it would be better if the end-user could choose the games he/she likes. Just like back in the day with those Never Settle bundles.
