NVIDIA today unveiled the GeForce 430.64 WHQL graphics drivers. These drivers include the crucial bug fix that caused abnormal CPU usage by telemetry, which was fixed by the non-WHQL 430.53 Hotfix . In addition, it comes Game Ready for "RAGE 2," "World War Z," and "Total War: Three Kingdoms." The drivers also add SLI support for "Imperator: Rome," and "Insurgency Sandstorm." In addition to the high CPU-usage bug, version 430.64 WHQL fixes a flickering observed when 3DMark Time Spy is launched, an application crash with BeamNG, "Hitman 2" DirectX 12 mode, and flickering noticed on secondary monitor when a video is played on the primary one, in dual-monitor setups.

Im guessing they never planned to release a game ready driver, but realized they have to properly optimize for it, after V64 trashed 2080TI in Vulkan.

Still waiting on a proper BFV SLI profile.. They even made it to where if you make changes to the driver using Inspector then when BFV launches it will revert most changes you made. AF 16x, Maximum Performance even choosing SLI profiles. Had to make the drsdb files read only.. I think it was to combat players using Inspector to exploit the visibility but it don't work..

The current implementation sees 99% on card 1 and about 12% on card 2. Using BF1 or SWBF2 profiles shows proper utilization but some effects are missing.

It's time to let that SLI ship sail man. I've have a few SLI setups, but with Pascal and now Turing I've given up on that.

I have found this driver has a serious conflict with MSI Afterburner OC Scanner.

The Scanner crashes doing the OC Test.

I had this happen on 2 different PCs,

I am confused, it reads more like an AMD driver bug fix list from the erlier days.
Nvidia really has gotten bad at their drivers.

SLI / Crossfire is dead in my opinion. Since you have very powerful GPUs these days. And even midrange cards can run most games in 1080P at max settings today. Maybe it might change a little with the next console gen, but i doubt it.

Dude, you're not kidding. Driver updates have been an absolute nightmare for me with my 2060. The last one has been the best for me. But up to that point it was a constant up and down... ...half of them have fixed minor things or more often things that don't affect me while making the only games I wanted to play at the time basically unplayable. I'll never forget the one that made Metro Exodus crash every few minutes. You always saw it coming by the graphical bugs. A later update would fix that and make it run only in DX12... DX11 would crash at the menu screen. I had to go back into the ini to get the game to start. And then there were a couple that caused intermittent BSODs, or more often simple lockups. I'd wake up in the middle of the night not knowing why and then quickly realizing, still in a haze, that my GPU fans were running awfully high for it just sitting idle in my 20C bedroom. Almost thought it was my backups running a few times. But no. Just nvidia fuckery.

Honestly, I'd rather they have fewer updates and actually get them right. Reminds me of a dude I used to work with. Would work himself up to a frenzied pace, thus making more things go wrong, thus intensifying the frenzy.

Nope. Just did another scan to check on your point. Finishes perfectly.

No issue for me over here. Everything runs flawlessly.

Wow. Next level :D I've never had this amount of problems with Nvidia drivers... I know new gen is always a bit shaky at first but this is pretty serious madness.

Hilarious that the 2070 is so close to the VII. The card (RTX2070) the internet loves to hate is not a bad deal under $500.

Wonder why some have issues while some don't? Hardware I guess. My PNY RTX2070 OC has had no driver related problems at all.
I do try all the new ones but run the Creator Ready versions mostly for real or imaginery stability with Adobe products...

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
No driver issues here with 2080ti since launch... I also dont change them to every iteration either. If something works, stick with it for a bit... the gains from most updates arent worth it anyway.

I remember the GTX 680 Release, it took about a year until the GPUs worked mostly well.

At this time, i think, we have to take Windows 10 into account. Several people have updated several times until now. And the strangest things can happen. I can't create a Gears of War Ultimate game, it says my NAT settings are too strict. On a newly installed Windows (same version as the updated one) i don't have that issue.

I wonder what can go wrong while updating and even changing hardware.

They spent time on adding SLI support for Imperator Rome? Seriously... that game can be run by Intel HD graphics... lol what a waste of resources, they should have added a different game.

I would imagine, what they work on and in what priority is in line with the number of reported issues .... the complaint about it taking 30 days for i,proved SLI profiles made me chuckle remembering the days of Battlefield [insert any version here] when 60-90 days later my kids were complaining about having to disable SLI. I made special MSI AB profiles and taught them toswitch to lower clocks when plaing BF

No I get that, but I just don't see why this game had a SLI profile to begin with, it is not even graphically intensive, 90% of the playtime is literally just maps and menus and text. Shouldn't they have made a SLI profile for a game that really needs it that doesn't have it yet, some AAA graphically intensive game, that was my only point.
