BIOSTAR expanded its AMD X570 chipset motherboard family with the micro-ATX Racing X570GT. The board ships with out-of-the-box support for 3rd generation Ryzen processors, and features PCI-Express gen 3.0 connectivity. It draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and a single 8-pin EPS power connector. A simple 4+3 phase VRM conditions power for the SoC, and even lacks cooling over the MOSFETs. Expansion options include one PCI-Express 4.0 x16, and two PCI-Express 4.0 x1 slots.

Storage connectivity of the Racing X570GT includes one M.2-22110 slot with PCI-Express 4.0 x4 and SATA 6 Gbps wiring. Display outputs include HDMI and D-Sub. The onboard audio solution features an entry-level Realtek ALC887 CODEC, and the board's sole network connectivity is care of a 1 GbE interface, driven by a Realtek RTL8111H PHY. USB connectivity includes four 5 Gbps USB 3.1 gen 1 ports on the rear panel, and two additional 5 Gbps ports via headers. The company didn't reveal pricing, but the Racing X570GT could be one of the cheapest AMD X570 motherboards, if not the cheapest.

What an aberration of a board, this doesn't deserve to exist. Did no one tell Biostar that the X570 is the high tier chipset?

And here I thought D-Sub VGA connectors were finally a thing of the past, but no, Biostar had to go and resurrect the dead...

WHY?
Why are all the mATX AM4 boards so inferior to intel ones?

Doubt it, since the chipset and PCI-E 4.0 are expensive. Maybe in the $130-140 range.

@LocutusH Asrock has a X570 M-ATX, I think?

Not all of the mATX boards are inferior... that’s a very poor statement to make.

This board looks terrible, and I can’t imagine it selling well other than to SI’s.

-No digital out, not even on the motherboard as 4 pin

S/PDIF and Toslink are unfortunately a dying standards, as they're no longer able to deliver enough bandwidth for the latest generations of multi-channel audio.
As such, HDMI has become the new digital out for audio.

It's funny how the chipset is almost completely unused here, yet still has active cooling.

Seing this board:

Not a board i want. no thanks. It might be a micro-ATX but this is still to cheap made. The boards looks boring and frankly hurts my eyes.
VRM desing is weak. Not even a heatsink on there. Defently not a board for overclock.
And looking at this board. I really begine to dout about what year we are in, Is it 2019 or are this board from 2009. I mean VGA and not even a simple toslink out for audio. They shut have dropped that useless VGA connection and put on a toslink audio out or more USB-ports. Something usefull at least. I mean who still use VGA in 2019? I can only think of the third world or poor countries use this board with VGA.

Site note to OP, there is a little typo: "and features PCI-Express gen 3.0 connectivity." I guess that shut have been "and features PCI-Express gen 4.0 connectivity.".

I think this might be the end times for Biostar in the desktop MB market. :(

Im sure those could do just fine with B450 boards, wouldnt they?
These valuable X570 chips can find better homes

It's funny how the chipset is almost completely unused here, yet still has active cooling.

What isn't funny, is that X570 appears to need that fan on ALL implementations.

Can certainly do without that on an ( for e.g. ) HTPC ...

I'm honestly surprised BIOSTAR still exists, they have terrible boards for many generations now, plus I checked their Z370 BIOS updates one time, they were always several months behind the bigger name. They are a useless brand.

I'm scratching my head what is this motherboard for:
  • High-end mATX - no (cheap and weak connectivity, weak CPU power circuit, bad positioning of connectors);
  • Cheap motherboard for the masses - no, I'm sure there are much better and cheaper B350, B450 or even X470 boards;
  • Why the hell would I want the latest high end chipset with PCI Express 4.0 and put a Ryzen R3 3200G on it for a VGA monitor???

Because Asia. Also the boards themselves are not crap quality. Try searching up any of their last generation boards with the keyword "problems" in google (I.E. "Biostar X370 problems") and you get barely a handful of results. Substitute that for something like, I dunno, ASUS and the entire first page of results is helpdesk threads and "buyer beware" PSAs.

BioStar, i think they cashed in too much money on mining equipment , so no budget to make good mobo.
thats why no z390 released by them...

i hope biostar doesnt do extinct like ECS in motherboard market..

that's due to pure volume though... your argument is null due to this. probably 1% of all north america uses biostar, while the major 5 companies take other 99% percent, of course Google will barely have anything and more for the others.

Oh gotcha, so the previous reported reasons why Biostar is bad were made up because clearly they don't sell enough units in North America for anyone to have had problems.

well if you love them so much you should buy this in a show of support, enjoy x570 without heatsinks and fan. and 5 month lagging BIOS updates.
