17.3" and rtx 2070 super level performance, and 240hz, under 2 grand. then we will talk about you getting money. until then nope no ty. (I know this sounds unrealistic, but actually it is not, there is already an Asus rtx 2070 17.3" 240hz on the market) gpu needs a bump though.

This, yes! Well said. I'm really tired of all these high performance 15.4" screened laptops. Give us 17" or 18" please, if you want to see our money. Thank You.

i'd love to see 18.4" make a cfomeback especially since they can do frameless now. 17"3 144hz are same size physically now as old 15.6" screens :) 18.4" slim high refresh... oh yeah baby

I'd be very happy with an 18.4" 120hz panel, even if only 1440p.

I'd be happy with 120hz 1080p 18.4" and a rtx 2070 super gpu but no max-q crap. also 18.4" slim design would allow for my copper cooling etc than 17.3" models. i really enjoy 1080p at 17.3" but yeah it all would come down to cost, but HID Evolution has a discount they are willing to give me, so I am just waiting for winter 2020 before i get my next gaming laptop.

i just bought an asus rog 120 hrz g-sinc 1070 17 inch screen laptop.. its main selling point for me was a nice ÂŁ600 quid discount cos its a 2018 model.. :)

at 1080p a 1070 is plenty fast enough for me for a gaming laptop.. a 240hrz display dosnt seem of much use to me.. more of a sales gimmick..

Reading the article, I was actually thinking: why bother with IGZO and 240Hz when gamers will use this hooked up to an actual monitor?

Oh, really? Which one? :D

I can sell my Ultrabook and replace it with that for a few bucks on top... immensely tempting!

I'd be ok with a 2060 and that setup. At 1080p a 2060 would run almost everything you throw at it at or above 120hz.

My Alienware is starting to show it's age and am in the market for a new system.

Witcher 3 only does about 80 fps for me on my gtx 1070 laptop, I'd really like it closer to 130 fps on a higher refresh screen for ultimate fluid action scenes

a 2070 is maybe 20% faster than a 1070.. that aint gonna take you anywhere near 130 fps.. :)

its a bit late now but when the 2019 models came out the 2018 models were offered at some pretty good discounts.. they soon sold though.. he he

yeah just me talking really, and i said 2070 super not 2070 i thought. hoping 3070 and 10nm intel laptops hit Fall or Winter next year. or maybe even ryzen 4700x and navi 6700 XT laptops in winter 2020??? doubt it is possible, but hey you never know. everyone on this forum told me Samsung wouldn't have a PCI E Gen 4 out this soon either but I thought they would :D

laptops seem to lose money like mad.. i just bought a lenovo X270.. it cost ÂŁ1200 when a new a couple of years ago i paid ÂŁ275 for one (ebay auction) that still has over one year left of its lenovo warranty and looks like new..

my asus rog scar would have cost ÂŁ2000 six months ago i paid ÂŁ1380 for mine about a month back just has the new 2070 models were coming out..

the lesson here seems to be never buy the new models as they come out..

And 15" will do?

the new 17.3" 144hz models are the same size as old 15" models because of the frameless designs... 18.4" could be the new 17.3, etc. so....

This is about a 15.6" screen, I wasn't talking overall laptop size.
I find 15.6" barely enough to do some work, it seems woefully inadequate for something like LoL or Fortnite...

indeed, which is why they need to bring back 18.4" screen size high refresh in a slim design.

I already have a "gaming" laptop with a 17" screen, amazing display 1024p, except I can only play pre-2010 era games,I dont mind... The laptop being a refurbished Compaq NX9420...
It's job is a desktop replacement for non-gaming tasks, and it excels in that.
