BIOSTAR, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and storage devices, is proud to announce a new mini-ITX form factor to its AMD socket AM4 line-up with the BIOSTAR X470NH. Design as the foundation for the ideal compact HTPC for home and office workers looking for a powerful yet discrete machine to run their daily tasks or build a secure NAS from, the X470NH meets their needs with a set of features focus on making a capable and affordable PC. Without forgetting about gamers, the X470NH offers overclocking capabilities to improve performance, giving the users the edge needed to stay ahead of the race.

The BIOSTAR X470NH, equipped with AMD's X470 chipset and AMD AM4 CPU socket, brings support for AMD's latest 3rd Gen Ryzen 7 nm processors. For a compact Mini-ITX, the X470NH is packed with an array of features ready to compete with the bigger boards, including USB 3.1 Gen1 support (5 Gb/s) which provides fast transfer speeds and support to a wide array of peripherals, a rear-mounted PCI-e M.2 at 32 Gb/s for increased system responsiveness, as well as an HDMI and a VGA port, providing a wider range of monitor compatibility for the best online content viewing experience. In addition, gamers can benefit from a lag-less networking environment with the onboard Realtek GbE LAN, as well as crank up their in-game settings with the support for PCIe 3.0 x16 slot ready to host a graphics card, and up to 32 GB of overclockable DDR4 memory at 4000 MHz.

D-sub, because there was nothing better they could put there...
This is the board no-one asked for and no-one really wanted.

Oh, man.... that's pretty low even by Biostar standards. As much as I like their low-end stuff, this makes even less sense than their recent mining boards or carrizo sffs.
* only 4-pin CPU power connector
* Same old RTL8111G/H and ALC887 combo. At least they did not put ALC662 in it.
* Probably uses some shitty offbrand eDP to VGA bridge (possibility of image noise and eventual failure, like with Parade ones)
* System hub heatsink is even smaller than the one they use on Intel boards
Plus I can already see at least one little production fuck-up on the board itself: front panel connector legend is upside-down. Someone's gonna gave a really good day assembling their first tiny PC.

Well, it would be nice to see sub 110€ itx offerings for am4. Intel's 1151v2 start at 75€.
I'm perfectly comfortable for an htpc build with just one hdmi port, a couple of sata and a couple of usb 3.0 (one for wifi, one for wireless receiver). If the price is right it's gonna be an OK product.

id buy it for 25 shipped :) never purchased a biostar before

I wouldn't use them if free. This type of marketing mistake just shows how out of touch with the industry they are.

I'm not ashamed to say that if the price is right I wouldn't mind using one of these for some tiny HTPC/gaming APU build. :)

Why x470 and a vga. They could have gone with dvi even.

AMD Athlon™(Flavor2) ?
Is that chocolate or vanilla?

Burned plastic the moment you put something bigger than a 3500 there.

You forgot only two fan headers. And they still use LM117 for some minor rails. Well... for digital voltage... meh...

Also any board not having a m.2 for a NVME drive in 2019 is throwable through the window also.

Ah my bad, it has.

This board lands into the china huanan territory... i like the screw hole design. They do economy on solder even there xD, bravo.

I think it's fine? If you are doing HTPC you are probably connecting your TV over HDMI anyway (and then passthrough audio to an audio receiver).

People who buy those will just plop in a 65W APU with a Noctua fan and never overlock it.

If you want to do a miniature life recreation of the chernobyl fallout, that is.
