XFX RX5700 DD Ultra to XFX RX5700XT THICC II Ultra Bios Flashing

After reading through the Techspot article related to flashing the XFX RX5700 DD Ultra to a RX5700 XT, I attempted to do the same thing with my DD Ultra, but keep on running into a SubsystemID mismatch error when using the AMD Flash Utility. I've tried every version of the XFX 5700 XT Bios listed under the Techpowerup VGA Bios repository as well as the XFX Bios Files listed on the XFX site.

Has anyone been successful in flashing this card as indicated on the Techspot article?

Does the bios flash need to be forced using command line to bypass the Subsystem ID check?

Appreciate the help.

Although the i3-6100 has integrated graphics, I also have a spare R9 380 should it be needed.

Thank you for the specs that will allow us to recover the card just in case if the card bricks.

What I want you to do is open gpu-z back up.

And what I want you to do is click the arrow right next to the UEFI checkbox and save your bios to your desktop.

Complete. I also did this last night using AMD flash tool.

Ok make sure its in a safe place such as a folder on desktop so when you get another file there will be no confusion

Should I first try flashing the updated bios for my card and then try the XT flash?

Try this bios using the latest AMD tool.

AMDVBFlash / ATI ATIFlash 5.0.567 Download

AMD AMDVBFlash is used to flash the graphics card BIOS. The version released by ATI was called ATIFlash or just WinFlash. It supports all AMD Radeo

No i just provided it as another back up however if this bios flash does fail in a brick, use the newer bios.

Ok here comes the fun part to flash.
We will need to do it via command prompt, so close the flash tool and open command prompt with administrative rights/privileges

In the event the card bricks, you hook monitor up to motherboard and boot the system using the core i3 cpu, then you run the same command over again but you put in your original bios

Actually since the cards dev and sub id already changed just use the AMD/ATI flash non command prompt tool. (Windows gui)
