maybe the temperature abit hot, thats why it need extra power to spin the fans, mostly a normal 580 would run 20-30w in idle, depend whigc model have fan stop/non/a custom setupHello!) I am right that is totally normal for Sapphire 30w at idle? I want to know how technically explain this power consumption for Sapphire?

I have second question. Advise which is better Sapphire rx580 Pulse or Gigabyte rx580 GAMING GV-RX580GAMING-8GD GB have 6 power phase and good cooler system it cover vram and vrm look screenshot. And in my country Sapphire have 2y warranty and Gigabyte have 3y warranty.maybe the temperature abit hot, thats why it need extra power to spin the fans, mostly a normal 580 would run 20-30w in idle, depend whigc model have fan stop/non/a custom setup
One 60hz DVI monitorDo u use dual monitor setup?
Thanks. But why other models of 580 fron othrer brands have ~10w at idle?Yes, it is normal.
Techinacal side in simple: the chip has clock/voltage gating. So wont turn on full power if not necessary. Using that parts only what the actaul load needs, inside the chip.

Thanks! Yes my model have 2 bios. But default is Gaming. And i dont whant use Compute mode.there is at least one different revision of the Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB. Some have a BIOS switch. The first revision didn't, I have that one. Perhaps based on which revision you have, and if applicable, which position the BIOS switch is in, could impact this?
You may be splitting hairs here over a 20W difference

No i mean not temperature but POWER watts. And i have not Nitro but Pulse.I'd expect the Special Edition to be 1-2C higherSapphire Radeon RX 580 Nitro+ Limited Edition 8 GB Review
The Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ Limited Edition is a highly overclocked custom variant of the just-launched AMD Radeon RX 580. Performance now beats the NVIDIA GTX 1060, and in the box, Sapphire has bundled two user-replaceable semi-transparent fans with blue LEDs, if you want a little bit more bling.www.techpowerup.com

What make Sapphire better than other brands?Well it's their bios and they engineered the card. You can always switch brands.

Then, no, not normal. 30-40w is normal for multiple monitors. Should be ~13w with a single monitor and no load:One 60hz DVI monitor
If anything, that number is low. I think it only takes into consideration the GPU and VRM. Doesn't take into consideration total board power. So, 30w is real values or incorrect sensor value?

Task Manager in Windows 10 October update and newer shows GPU load under processes and the various GPU queues in the performance tab.
Yes 20.2.2, on Win7 and Win10 i have same values in Afterburner and Radeon driver. Are you running the latest drivers (20.2.2 WHQL)?
Edit: I suppose it is possible that Radeon Software is overestimating power consumption at low load and underestimating at high load.
