After Flashing Sapphire Nitro+ RX570 4GB to its stock BIOS PC doesn't boot

Hi Guys! My first post here.

Basically I had a working system with a GeForce GTX 550Ti but decided it was time to upgrade. Bought a second hand AMD Sapphire Nitro+ RX570 4gb and proceeded to installing this device in my System Unit. The following picture is from the seller from whom i bought it. The sticker on the side of the GPU tallies with the Device ID.

Long story short i ran into a few problems installing the drivers and by googling and whatnot for over 12 hours reached the conclusion that i needed to perhaps flash the Vbios on the card. (Basically the driver wouldnt install. Kept getting an OpenGL Error first then along with that i think i also had a 43 Driver Error when i checked my Device Manager. It boiled down to the driver not installing and an exclamation mark with by Radeon RX570 in the device manager. Did a clean installation of my whole Windows OS but, both 7 and 10 Updating them and then installing the driver but still couldn't resolve the issue).

Found an easy online video telling me what to do and how to do it all using techpower's Vbios repository (https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/191336/sapphire-rx570-4096-170323) and ATIFlash software. Did it by the easy windows flash method. Was successful - Rebooted the system & black screen.

No POST. Remove the card and everything works perfectly. Replace the card with my old GTX550ti, works perfectly.

I figured reading multiple threads here that i had probably corrupted the vbios somehow and that i might need to Clean Flash it again via DOS Method. But unfortunately the issue is, i cant boot up when i attach the RX570. Not into safemode by pressing F8, not by making the USB Priority one for booting, not by enabling IGD instead of PEG. Nothing. So basically stuck here after turning on the PC Power Button proceeding with no beeps. And just stays there.

Presently i've put the RX570 aside, and proceeded with a clean fresh install of windows 7 with my GTX550ti working perfectly. I tried to replace the card with the RX570 one last time after all this, but (since it probably has a corrupt bios) to no avail. Same blackscreen without any POST.

Wondering if anyone here can help me out! Thank You in advance!!

But in both they some how boot. I cant even achieve that!

If it's a Dual Bios version, flick the switch over to the other position and try booting.
If that doesn't work, try the card in a more modern system, to see if it is UEFI related as I suspect, perhaps a friend or shop can assist with that.

Another "flashed the wrong VBIOS" thread.

You'll need PCI graphics card OR integrated graphics OR motherboard with 2 PCIe x16 slots.

If your 'system specs' is updated, your motherboard (DG43NB) should have onboard graphics.

Install the RX 570 back, and plug your monitor to the motherboard's DVI or VGA:



Download this VBIOS file and AMD's flashing utility and extract both to the same folder.

First try the GUI version (AMDVBFlashWin), if it doesn't work, use the command prompt version:

Type: "amdvbflash -i" to see which adapter id is the bricked RX 570.



and then:
amdvbflash -unlockrom 0

amdvbflash -f -p 0 210273.rom

Change 0 to the correct adapter id.

The other switch has the same reaction. No response, simple black screen without POST.
The modern system approach I'll have to try out after i find someone pertinent.

I didnt know there were others "Unverified" bioses available! How'd and where'd u find this one! -.-
Ok so when I attach the RX570 back, even with IGD as the strict video output, the system still refuses to boot up. Like I said no POST even. System turns on, and stays quite, no beeps whatsoever.

Ohkey... So these bios are in the unverified section! How was i supposed to know!
i found one verified and checked the model number and everything... blekh....

I can check that now cant I in my running system? Just go to bios and enable IGD again and attach my DVI cable to the on-boards graphics and boot while the GTX550Ti is attached?

[I apologize if this is a way too simple question - But i've learned my lesson to ask first now! ]

If the system boots with GTX 550 Ti as secondary, it means the RX 570 prevents the system from posting.

In this case, you'll have to shorten pin 1 and 8 somehow near the BIOS chip.





Paperclip, soldering or a small cable. Just make sure to plug it when the system is cut from power.

Then you'll be able to POST and re-flash the BIOS.

Ok so i checked, while running from IDA the PC booted with the GTX, but when i put in the RX570 it doesn't. Like you're saying it's preventing the PC from POSTing.

So shorting pins. I'll need a bit more help regarding that. This will be on the GPU where exactly?

ok but the Vbios that u suggested to flash should be here in the same folder as ATIflash right? - And do i need to change the "0" after "-f -p" to something else as u said in ur previous original post? To the "correct adapter id"?

Ok So Thank Bro!
Booting without problems now.

So I begin installing the driver now as before correct? I should uninstall all Geforce Drivers first, how do I do that most effeciently? (I've already uninstalled everything GeForce normally - Do i need DDU or something too?)
And should i keep my display IGD until after ive done all this or can i shift back now to the PEG, does it even matter?

(Btw the reason i flashed my card in the first place was because the drivers wouldnt install, so i'd prefer if this thread continued until i get my RX57 installed and running if thats ok)

Uninstall all graphics drivers. Use DDU from safe mode. And then install drivers.

And then i select Nvidia, AMD & even Intel from the drop-down menues and delete all drivers? Do keep in mind please I'm using PEG as my display atm. Strictly PCIe. Hope that's not a problem...

So just for some context, I am fixing someone's PC that they got from buying a second-hand mining rig. The guy flashed the GPU and installed drivers and reported that it all worked.(His son could play fortnite and CS GO and other games fine so I assume it did) Then after some time windows...

Try to clean the card with alcohol and cotton swabs.

Post a screenshot of GPU-Z and photos of the card stickers.

Since this is a 2nd hand card, it is possible you got ripped off and got a defective card from the seller.

Yup removed Paperclip, that was used only once.

The back side of the RX570 seems pretty clean, i did brush it and use a blower to blow off all the dust... didnt remove the heatsink from the pcb though... just the fans an stuff...

Since this is a 2nd hand card, it is possible you got ripped off and got a defective card from the seller.

But the seller did send me the GPU-Z Picture (which i have shared in the beginning) and also ran a benchmark video... Its unlikely i think.

The 2nd and 3rd didn't work, I flashed it and checked my device manager for any changes. Nothing - the 1st one gave me the black screen after restart... Will have to boot using 1-8 again and flash one of the others and come back to E43.
