Deepcool Announces the GAMMAXX 400 EX Tower Cooler

Deepcool today announced a refresh of their previously-released GAMMAXX X 400 tower cooler. The new version will see improved cooling performance, due in no small part to the new dual-fan support. DIMM clearance has also been revisited, so as to prevent the new GAMMAXX 400 EX from interfering with your DIMM slot installation. The number of fins has been increased to 56, which means an extra 20% heat dissipation are that can be served by the increased airflow from the dual-fan configuration. A 4x 6 mm sintered copper heat pipe design (sintered as in, produced via pressure or temperatures that don't liquefy the copper) with Direct Touch technology should accelerate heat transfer form the CPU heatsink through to the cooling fins.

This is kind of a weighty design, coming in at 930 g for a cooling solution. Dimensions stand at 129 mm width, 103 mm thickness, and 157.5 mm height. It's expected the GAMMAXX 400 EX will be available around the $39 mark. For that pricing, it includes 2x TF120 high performance fans.

EVERY time I read deepcool, i read Deadpool. Frustrating.

Nice looking cooler though. AIO's are the way I go from here on out unless I actually do custom watercooling. Which i still have reservations about.

honestly cpu coolers and cases are like Nvidia with their rediculous amount of cards for every skew atm in that a card on a discount is not news worthy but a new card is.

so in order to get some press they just release ANOTHER cpu cooler or ANOTHER case with no real reason for it to exist, it offers nothing new.

It's called consumerism, people will buy them, simple as. There hasn't really been much progress made with air coolers in the last 10 years apart from the size of them and improving the fans for better airflow/quietness etc though companies still need to release products to make money and here's the crazy thing, people still build computers and need things like cases and coolers so will still buy them, as it's a "new" product it will likely sell better than their old products as well, but I agree, it's a tower CPU cooler of which they are a dime a dozen of them around these days and it's not news, just a marketing release.

Gammax around here are the cheapest coolers, if the price is right this actually looks really good

ditch one fan to help clearance issues in smaller cases and it could be a great mid-range cooler
