Halo 2: Anniversary Now Available in The Master Chief Collection for PC

Microsoft Game Studios and 343 Industries have released halo 2: Anniversary for the PC platform. Being distributed as a package via The Master Chief Collection (which already includes Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary), the game takes you through the second installment in the Master Chief's saga to protect humanity from the Covenant. The game has been fully optimized for the PC platform, as have previous releases.

The second installment in the sage features dual-wielding, as well as a dual-character campaign where you'll swap between the POV of the Master Chief and the Arbiter, a Sangheili commander fallen from grace in the wake of the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. The new Anniversary remaster of Halo 2 is a remaster in more than graphics, but in spirit as well, featuring added prologue and epilogue cutscenes, in-game terminals for you to bask in the glorious lore of the Halo universe, and reinterpreted cutscenes made by none-other than the amazing Blur Studios. The game and its contained updates for the Master Chief Collection will come in at 41.5 GB. Halo 2: Anniversary is available stand-alone for €9.99, or as part of The Master Chief Collection, which for €39.99, also includes Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and the storytelling masterpiece that is Halo 4.

Wow can remember watching the announcement trailer for this , had to download it at 56k coming off the back of HALO CE I was so excited when the trailer finally downloaded must have watched it 50 times , I was so excited and I wasn't disappointed got the game launch day and played from the moment I got home till my mum kicked me to bed , what a game , luckily I get this with xb gamepass pc..

Feels soo good on PC. Played the first campaign mission last night. Oh how i missed Halo 2. I still remember the day as a kid I got a Xbox and Halo 2 for Christmas the year Halo 2 came out.

Getting this one on GamePass as well, looking forward to trying it out! I had pre-ordered this back in the day on launch and then also ended up winning the Collectors Edition. I kept the CE new/sealed and is still in my collection. I think this was my favorite of all of the Halo series. Loved the coop story mode.

All Xbox exclusives will also be on PC. This was announced a few years ago, so yes Halo 5 will be coming.

It's a given that they probably will, especially with the MCC slowly making its' way to PC and Halo 6 coming at the end of the year, but I was just wondering if they have mentioned it.

Why Halo 5 ? It's a disaster in the IP which killed the franchise and was full of current political standards atop the complete shift from what Halo was, and ruined characters to the point of no return. Also it has got T rating instead of M rating to appease more people and removed all traces of Blood in the combat. That game is even forgotten by Microsoft that it exists. I hope it doesn't come to PC at all.

To complete the collection on PC. Also I don't dislike Halo 5 as much as you seem to.
