So I was lurking around Amazon and stumbled across this Antec F12 (120mm) case fan for dirt cheap:

I can get the 5 pack for less than $20. The only thing is, I can't find any useful information about them. Amazon reviews seem ok tho.

Has anyone encountered them, used them, and if you have, what's your experience?

Most likely cheap sleeve bearing fans which are average performance. They will do the job, but won't be amazing or quiet
Yeah, I don't expect wonders from them either.
These are the specs from the US amazon page:
1000 RPM
30.5 CFM
21.5 dBA
People seem to praise them for their price to performance, and they don't seem to be that loud either.

At 1000 RPM of course they won't hear much noise, it should be adequate as exhaust fans. For intake I would find something with more static pressure

I dont know much about these, but the price seems legit for a good budget/performance balance. I got a 5-pack of the Arctic P12 in the same price range, and those are probably similar in performance to noise.
I can only recommend trying this price-point, doesn't have to be a fancy noctua or corsair fan all the time.

My plan was to get them as a starter fans (2 intake, 2 exhaust), and eventually upgrade to something better if these dont provide enough airflow. And I mean for 2000 JPY (around $18), I can always give them to someone in need eventually.
The thing is, in my home country, which I'm going back to soon, cheapest brand name fans are almost $10 a pop. And I don't think they are any better than these ones.

For 20 bucks you aren't out much if they suck. I'd give them a try. There's always yate loon to fall back on. Their usually $5 or $6ea. At performance-pcs there's 3 speeds to choose from low med high but they aren't pwm.

remember what Forest said:

"cheap is as cheap does" (kinda)

And Antec anything = elcheapo p.o.s......

IMHO, it would be better to spend a few moar $$ now, get a better product/better warranty/support, and be happier in the long run, but thats just me :)
