I've seen this a few times now in seemingly random places: quotes being attributed to the wrong user. An example can be found in this post - the quoted text is from my previous post here, yet the quote is for some reason attributed and linked to the user and post four posts above mine.

I can't find the other examples now, but it's confused both me and several other users on several occasions.

Yep, same thing happened to me, so I edited out the quote in that post.

Not sure why they would create that text as image with alt text. Maybe for SEO.

From what I understand this is allowed in the HTML spec, so it's a browser bug. What browser are you using?
Looks fine in FF.

I think the Visual C++ all in one download needs updated again, not 100% sure. Saw this was updated June 23rd, and TPU is currently May 15th. (if this kind of reminder is not helpful, just tell me so and I won't mention it in the future) just trying to help since I trust W1zz downloads the most

The files in that pack are all dated Jun 9th. Maybe a new update?

Ugh, i'm uploading GIFS and images to my terrible build log and one minute it was fine, the next its taking 2-3 minutes to refresh the page and load the images

While its refreshing on the other tab, THIS tab is crawling along too

Any chance you can add something like "This post has been merged" in between the posts, whenever there's a merger of posts?

Something like this:
Contents of the original 1st post

This post has been merged

Contents of the original 2nd post

For example: this post got merged and i only noticed it the following day because, like i have been doing for roughly the last 3 months when i update, i reply to my own "last update post" removing the quote parts and changing the info for the update.

There has been @ least another such situation in that thread IIRC but, unlike this one, i noticed it while i was still able to edit, @ which point i added something to separate the two posts.

While not an answer to what can be added, if you wait longer than 24 hours to update it will be outside of the time that auto-merges posts and part of the forum.

Correct me if i'm wrong: two consecutive posts from the same poster under 12H apart will get merged, right? The problem is that the merged post gets the time of the original 1st post and not the 2nd one so it's EDIT time can be severely cut short.

Barring mistakes in either of the posts, by having something that clearly separates them, there's no need to edit.

The example i used: were it not for the pics (they have the dates in them), someone looking @ the post may actually think it's the poster's mistake to have 2 updates in a single post and that it was unintentional, when they were actually two distinct posts, originally.
